Luffy deserves so much love. When it comes shipping, in a lot of fics I’ve read and in a lot of headcanons I see online, luffy is always the one that’s comforting the other person. Which isn’t a bad thing inherently but I think his own emotional vulnerability isnt explored enough. Sure he brushes things off but that doesn’t mean he doesnt feel them!! He is so loving and giving and it makes total sense that he comforts those he loves, but he also deserves someone to be vulnerable with even if it’s only rarely. I don’t know if this makes any sense sorry I just have a lot of feelings about him :-(

I'm about to pop off, and hopefully it's not too disjointed before we loop back around to Luffy being a good bottom:
Luffy is the type of character who gives EVERYTHING to others even when claiming to be selfish. Sure, there are some things he definitely "selfish" with, like food, but literally all of those have trauma related causes! He grew up having to hunt for his food or he didn't eat. He's selfish with his people and not wanting to share them because of his canonical hatred of being alone and the fact he had to fight for the relationships he does have.
But the thing with the second one is that even if it's him being a selfish pirate in his mind, his "selfishness" actually leads to giving everything to them to keep them. Almost every relationship he's in is one sided until he does something to convince them that he's worth staying for, and often times that means giving them freedom in some form. (Nami's freedom from Arlong, Zoro's freedom from the marines, Sanji's freedom from his perceived debt to Zeff and later all of WCI, ect. (I could get really fucking into this and I might later))
He loves anyone he considers to be one of his people, and the way that he loves is to give every single thing he can to bring them as much joy as they bring him! So yeah, he gives EVERYTHING to those he loves.
I read a post ages ago about Luffy's perception of love and how that affects him, and I feel that's also relevant here. (Link)
Anyways, despite his claim of wanting to be selfish, he gives EVERYTHING to those he cares about, and in return they take care of him in some way (Nami navigates for him, Sanji cooks for him, ect). And he loves this about them! He takes every chance he can canonically to talk about how much he appreciates everything they do for him because he can't do those things. Which I think can be tied to the fact that Luffy's a little love bug, but also to the fact that his childhood fucking sucked. He had to fight for even the smallest amount of affection until he wore them down to give it freely. His crew didn't require anywhere near as much wearing down as Ace. He had that shit down to a science after Ace!
Which loops us back around to the relationship point. He would *adore* anyone who decided to love him as fiercely as he loves, and to care for him gently when most of what he's known is violence? Perfection. He may not understand it fully at first, but dear fuck he deserves someone to care for him. To crack him open with gentle hands and hold his heart carefully while he falls apart.
Luffy being fucked stupid while being held gently, as if he's someone's world? Luffy being told that yes, he can take a couple more orgasms, more pleasure because he's strong (in contrast to him being able to take hits against an enemy, because a lover should not be his enemy)? Luffy being put so far into subspace that he has no choice but to let his lover care for him? Fucking perfection.

I lowkey wanna write (or get a friend to write) a fic that just explores Nami and Zoro sleeping their way through the grandline. Zoro because he fell for Sanji the second he saw him and is burying his feelings, and Nami because she thinks every woman she's ever met is hot.
Both of them are trans besties of course. Tis just how my brain works.
It would be like 70% fucking, 10% Zoro and Nami being besties, and 20% other strawhats ships and cameos. I feel like that's an appropriate ratio for silly BS like this.
There'd be a good chunk of (affectionate) Sanji bullying just because Nami and Zoro both get more pussy/dick than he does. As well as eventually Ivankov giving him some fun body upgrades for post TS. (Sanji with a pussy hidden behind his dick and little titties ftw). He/she/they has a gender crisis coming, it's fine.
It would probably only have a few "set" ships. Like ones that get revisited. I had a couple funny jokes planned out. Like Usopp can sleep with people but if he does, he has to write about it in detail to Kaya. This was her(Kaya's) idea. Nami might do the same for Vivi. Poor Zoro's just head over heels and can't forget about it.
It would, in fact, contain LawLu because I know nothing else in my heart. Might have a few funny gags with Luffy where no one else has figured out how his body works(devil fruit reasons), so sex is just. Meh. For him for the most part until Law(insane freak for freak may commence here).
