I was born a female, survived girlhood, went through puberty, developed breast, started ovulation and menstrual cycle and now I’m experiencing “the biology clock” hot and cold spells, etc…all things that female born women may or may not suffer but have shared common physiological realities, these things makes us women. At best, a male can only imitate a false cosmetic or surgical lie. Woman, female is a living being formed in a woman’s womb, not a cosmetic false imitation. Over exaggerated mannerisms or gestures, and hyper “femininity” is a learned behavior not something innate in female children. I don’t need someone to confirm my lie or validate my delusions, so no, I don’t need to backup reality with those who get paid to lie. Sex is a biological, physiological, hormonal, physical, chemical, biological, reproductive reality. Whether female use their bodies to carry fetus or not. Whether or not the female reproductive system functions properly or not. Whether they are diseased or not, her body is a biological DNA genetic fact, not and outward adornment. Not a surgical lie.

Men have a very rude habit of openly staring down women in public and making them uncomfortable and out of habit, the woman usually drops her gaze and pretends to no longer notice the man’s inappropriate stare anymore. I refuse. I’ve begun staring the men down that stare at me and as they wait for me to drop my gaze and lower my head, I don’t, I stare back, letting them know that I see them and I’m not gonna let them objectify me in passing without permission. I’ve been meaning to post this for a while but I always forgot. Don’t you ever let a man make you feel uncomfortable and then pretend not to notice because you don’t wanna make a scene. You stare him down. You yell at him. You tell him to fucking stop staring at you. You’re not a piece of ass. And he’s not about to treat you like one.

Today is the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. On January 27 1945, the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp was liberated by Soviet troops.

The above image shows just some of the thousands upon thousands of wedding rings confiscated by the Nazis from victims of the Holocaust. These rings were found by US troops after liberating Buchenwald in 1945.

I was saying earlier that young people didn’t hate nazis enough (lol) and I started thinking: it’s because older people grew up on these stories.

I was born a mere 12 yrs after WWII and it was still pretty fresh in everybody’s minds… the men in our families fought in it and there were people in our neighborhoods with what we called “those nazi numbers” on their arms. They twitched, drank, talked to themselves, some would scowl and bark at us, but some would smile real big. I used to greet a man with the numbers (I became morbidly obsessed with the numbers when I learned what they were, just like Sylvia Plath) and he would break into the biggest smile, well hello there my dear! and share his hard candies with me.

I was fascinated by their differences.. the way they all had reacted so differently to basically the same experience. I wondered what I would do? It scared me to think about it, but it shaped my imagination, since the legacy was right there in front of me.

And now, it is mostly young Jewish people who “grew up with the stories”–since their families have insured they don’t forget.. but it seems the rest of us have forgotten.

Well. I didn’t… I still taste the hard candy the survivor gave me. I have purchased the same hard candy all my life, and think of him. And the numbers.

My dad was the shabbat goy(sp? When he says it it sounds like “shabbasgoy” so…) in his neighborhood growing up, and sometimes he tells me stories abt his older neighbors and the tattoos on their arms… his dad joined the navy when he was 15 and lied abt his age. My great uncle drove those amphibious vehicles like you see at the beginning of Saving Private Ryan; til the day he died he couldn’t look at blood without throwing up bc the vehicle next to his got mortared and everyone inside turned to messy chunks. My mom’s dad stormed the beaches at Normandy on D-Day and died in 2013 with shrapnel still in his body.

Killing nazis is a proud and glorious tradition in my family.

January 27th 1945: Liberation of Auschwitz

On this day in 1945, the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in Poland was liberated by the Soviet Red Army. One of the most notorious camps of Nazi Germany, Jews and others persecuted by the Nazi regime were sent to Auschwitz from 1940 onwards. During its years in operation, over one million people died in Auschwitz, either from murder in the gas chambers or due to starvation and disease. As the war drew to a close and the Nazis steadily lost ground to the Allied forces, they began evacuating the camps and destroying evidence of the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed there. The leader of the SS, Heinrich Himmler, ordered the evacuation of the remaining prisoners at the camp as the Soviet Red Army closed in on the area. Nearly 60,000 prisoners from Auschwitz were forced on a march toward Wodzisław Śląski (Loslau) where they would be sent to other camps; some 20,000 ended up in the Bergen-Belsen camp in Germany. However, thousands died during the evacuation on the grueling marches, leading to them being called ‘death marches’. 7,500 weak and sick prisoners remained in Auschwitz, and they were liberated by the 322nd Rifle Division of the Soviet Red Army on January 27th 1945. Auschwitz remains one of the most powerful symbols of the Holocaust and the horrific crimes committed by the Nazi regime against Jews and numerous other groups.

no shade but it’s not very radical to suggest an archaic book from the 2nd wave that’s probably no longer relevant for today’s woman and 27 dollars for a book on abortion methods. 27 bones for a book, even 10 dollars, is not affordable for poor women. what would be radical is anyone who can afford it, buying the book and turning it into a pdf that all women can download for free.
