Had a random realization with how similar Mami and Yamcha were:

Unusual names

Likes yellow/orange clothing

Warriors that defend Earth from evil

Strong sense of justice

Guns

Orphans

Canonically fantastic cooks (probably cuz they’re orphans and had to learn to cook for themselves)

Befriends a lil creature that can shapeshift, and they are essentially their lil siblings that they greatly cherish

Seen as the older sibling figure of their group

Original lore dump person

Would like to be surrounded by family and friends (probably cuz again, orphans)

Clowned by their respective fandoms for being “cocky” during a major fight that fans claim was the cause of their demise. Nothing in either original source materials implies that was ever the case

Despite their deaths being treated as the tragedies they were, fans overly meme, again, to mock them for their supposed overconfidence

Their deaths may have greatly traumatized their teammates

I was about to say Tien sounded the most reasonable, but I remember that 18 is an Android, why would she be the master of ki waves if she can't even sense them. Piccolo of course had the most sound input of how she will teach me how to fight like an android

As for Beryl relaying the news to Cell

I wish fans stopped framing Launch as "Tien's woman" or any variation of that

If you ship it, it's whatever I don't really care

My issue is how people frame this in a way where Launch is Tien's accessory. A trophy wife. All of Launch's quirks and characterization are reduced down to the sexy lamp next to Tien

Launch has literally not shown up throughout all of Z, aside from a quick mention from Bulma referring to her as some chick

Tien has very much been involved, not well, but involved throughout Z

What about Launch's personality do you even remember that wasn't just chasing down Tien?
