I honestly have no words for people with this outlook. Middle aged men who attack Greta for the way she looks and for being young?? Clearly they have no substance to go on. They know she's right and they're SCARED of her, so they do what they do best with their hollow heads: attack her appearance! She is doing this because NO ADULTS care enough to speak up. I stand with her and I think she's incredible.

Greta Thunberg is amazing. She embodies all the rage and disappointment I have towards climate deniers and corrupt world leaders making excuses for inaction but she’s actually getting heard. She is an icon. She is doing what we all wish we could do and has found a way to demand her voice be listened to instead of yelling into the void of our Facebook friends lists hoping our conservative uncle/friend will grow up and realise the world needs to change.

Greta fighting against a constant onslaught of abuse and criticism from right wing politicians and media but is standing up for what’s right and the world is hearing her message. It isn’t some washed down diplomatic sentiment bent into a molded shape. She speaks honestly and openly. She speaks from the heart. She says what I want to say to world leaders minus the string of expletives.

Greta gives me hope for a better future. The youth of today are inspirational and are well equipped to become the leaders of tomorrow that we deserve.

As a Pakistani and a Muslim I am 100% behind the Kashmir struggle. Whether Kashmiris wish to become a part of Pakistan or their own state is another topic but all the same, this Indian occupation must end. I was born into (officially on paper) a Hindu family. But I recognise the atrocities that are being committed in the name of Hinduism and the plague of Hindutva. I'm personally an agnostic, but a vast majority of my friends are Hindu and they support this takeover of Kashmir.

The fascist Modi government is pushing their India first agenda, a nationalist propaganda movement, where we care more about Kashmir the tourist destination and less about Kashmir the people. It is not up to you or me to decide whether Srinagar is in India or Pakistan, it's up to the people of Kashmir.

Indians definitely have a problem with that, because it takes a large shift in thought to consider a state which you have been told is a part of your country is no longer so. They protest their small inconveniences, like having to redraw maps of India to exclude Kashmir.

More importantly, this takeover will provide immense unmediated power into the hands of the Indian Army. The same Indian Army that rapes and fucking tortures literal kids from Kashmir because they might be Muslims. The same Indian Army that nearly started nuclear war three months ago to help Modi win a landslide election.

And personally, the same Indian Army that bulldozed my fucking high school to the ground because we refused to pay donations.

This is not a political issue. This is a humanitarian issue, and possibly a potential genocide. Treat it as such.

The genocide of Kashmiri people is like slow poison; it's subtle and lowkey, but ultimately as ethically malignant as those of the Jews and the Rohingyas.

If you are a woman in Kashmir PLEASE stay safe and secure because (even if might just be false scares) there have been news of hindu extremists in and muslim extremists groups in Kashmir planning mass abuse/sexual abuse attacks on Muslim women and hindu women respectively in Kashmir as a way to "" hurt"" the honour of their men which has been a common occurrence throughout history everytime something as sensational as this has happened (eg : India and pakistan split which was followed by mass rapes of both hindu and muslim women by extremists etc) so please be careful and safe!! I can't post the screenshots bc the posts of those extremist groups were taken down and again idk how reliable they are and it could be a way to spread false scares but still its not unlikely that something like this would happen so just be aware and safe!!

Gender reveal parties, and big planned reveals, literally were not a thing ten, fifteen years ago. Don’t let anyone pull that “it’s a tradition!” crap on you, youngsters. They’re LYING. People would either get the ultrasound or not to find out about the genitals, and tell people or not. That was that.

The fuss over “revealing” a baby’s gender in utero stinks of pushback against the shift toward a more nuanced understanding of gender. I mean yeah part of it is social media, and trends catching on, but don’t think for a minute this isn’t part of some regressive attitudes creeping into the mainstream with a cute (blue or pink) bow on it.
