Part 2
No reports have come back from the battle on the east side. It was a fairly easy battle. The numbers were more than enough to defeat the Ashborn army defending their back entrance.
King Arlen felt something odd about this. Far more difficult battles were being fought and even won in different places, and reports have almost always come, sooner or later. He was sure this time wasn't going to be any different. It shouldn't have been.
Advisor Glen, sensing the uneasiness in his king, offered some words to try and calm him down.
-It was probably an easy enough battle that the soldiers decided to throw a party. I'm sure the report will come- said Glen, hoping to calm the lord down.
-Yeah, that's probably it. We have bigger things to worry about, so I'll just trust what you said.- said the king accepting the advice and continuing with his strategy plan for the next battle.
A knock on the door of the private kings room was heard.
-You hear? That's probably the report, no need to worry my lord.
-Yeah, hopefully this can get settled quickly-sighed the king, internally wishing for a moment of peace, be it false or true.
As expected, the commander of the battalion sent to the east side, Bartan, appeared before Glen after he opened the door.
-Everything alright, Commander Barthan? You look a bit pale there. -said Glen, feeling an uneasiness after seeing his former fencing teacher with a gloomy look to his build.
No response was given, just commander Barthan standing in the door frame of the king's room looking down and with a pale tone to his skin. Something was off.
Suddenly, the once great soldier and commander fell to the ground without even putting resistance to his fall, as if he was just knocked out cold.
Advisor Glen quickly fell to his knees in aid of Brathan, catching him before he he hit the ground.
-What's wrong with him, Glen?- shouted the king, watching the hole sequence display before him.
-I-i don't know my lord. He's not answering. It seems his in a pretty bad condition for him to just pass out like this. Gaurds!!! Call a doctor over to the king's room immediately, Commander Brathan has fallen unconscious.
There was no answer to Glen's request.
-Guards!!?- he shouted again, still no response.
After realizing the situation was way more serious than they thought, the Kind and his advisor looked at each other, not knowing how to proceed, as whatever caused the current situation was able to do a lot more.
A series of footsteps were heard climbing up the ladders outside the king's room. Glen picked up Brathans sword from his waist and settled his mentor on the ground. Standing in front of the king who picked up a small decorative knife, both had all their senses glued to the door.
The shadow of a person was making it self bigger as the owner of such figure closed in on their location. A person with a robe fully covering their body stood in front of the opened door.
-Good afternoon, King Airen. You may not know me, but I feel like after this little show of prowess, I'm owned an audition. Will you please hear me out for a little bit? There's something I need your help with.
