sciencecore/villaincore fashion tips
i saw a few people recommending something like this after my decor post so i thought i’d talk about some tips to give your outfits that mad scientist/villain flair!!
-get yourself a long coat. labcoats and black trenchcoats work best
-get some t-shirts for horror movies, bands, or just cool ones that are somewhat spooky (or have science puns!)
-stripes!!!! especially black & white and black & neon green!!!
-boots, especially ones with spikes or lots of buckles
-gloves!!! opera gloves and other long gloves always look great, but my personal favorites are my skeleton fingerless gloves
-buttons & patches!! there are tons of cool horror/mad science themed patches online, and you can also paint some yourself!!
-colors like black, purple. red, and neon green
-goggles can spice up any outfit and make it more mad science-y, you can sometimes find these at craft or costume stores
-anything themed after anatomy (shirts with skeleton bones, anatomical heart necklaces, etc)
-black nail polish, this one is just a personal favorite of mine but if you don’t already wear it i’d definitely try it out
-ripped jeans or tights can also add a bit of flair, especially if you’re going for a “my unethical experiment just backfired but i look cool as hell right now” or “just had a fight with my arch nemesis” look
a lot of this stuff can be found at halloween sections/stores too, so make sure to check those around october!!
these are just some personal suggestions, but feel free to add more!
cool decor for your lab
-lava lamps
-green & purple string lights
-erlenmeyer flasks, test tubes, cool jars & vases
-anatomy diagrams/models
-vintage electronics & medical supplies
-notebooks lying around with notes & drawings
-plasma balls, newton’s cradles, pretty much any cool little science gadget u can put on a desk
-big science books & gothic horror novels!! great to put on bookshelves & have laying open on your desk
-anything with bubbly liquid
-these (lightswitch covers)
-any cheesy halloween decor, look for metal biohazard signs or cool glowing stuff
-any cool little gadgets you have!! feel free to build some more!! (consider this practice for your robot army)
remember, these are just some ideas!! even if you don’t have a single one of these your lab is fantastic! feel free to add some more suggestions if you’d like
