Photography in witchcraft

I use photography a lot in my practice as it’s a hobby I’ve had my whole life and I’m working towards it being my career.

The first way I use photography is offerings, both artemis and apollo have offering scrapbooks that I use for photography, sketches and letters to the gods

I also use photography in spells to represent things. Eg. moon photos for the phase i need.

I also use photos to help evoke a certain mood. I’m thinking about creating more photo albums or printing photos for my sketchbook.

I also find taking my camera helps motivate me to go on walks. There’s something very special about taking pictures of the moon and sunrise early in the morning.

they’re also great for stickers on offering candles 

I know @sheoftheheights occasionally uses photos as backgrounds for their amazing devotional poetry.

I personally don’t like taking photos of rituals or jars cause it doesn’t sit well with me. But I know some people like taking photos of their spells for their book of shadows/journal etc.

I love using the concept but on a candle jar, which is similar to my previous point of stickers.

There’s also companies that will put your photos onto plates which are great to use with votive or pillar candles
