It's Impossible to Ignore You..
With a quiet but quite large yawn, Sydney walked through the halls of the arena, sluggishly dragging along her ‘work’ suitcase behind her. The original plan made on the previous Sunday was that this was gonna be a ‘her’ sunday. Her lazy day, the ‘self-care’ day. Until the higher ups proposed a dark match against Candice Lerae that would take place before the live SmackDown show. Of course, she didn’t have to hear of the benefits this match would give her - she was in. Exhaustion be damned, she was gonna take any opportunity given to her to prove she was in this all the way.
But here she was now. Exhausted, the Alani energy drink she chugged hadn’t kicked in and she still had to get ready. That in itself was a chore - thank god she did her makeup before arriving at the arena. Eventually she was ready and the caffeine was slowly but surely kicking in… and there was her stomach growling. Would today get any easier? Following a dramatic sigh, she pulled herself up, throwing on an oversized t-shirt to cover the top of her attire in an attempt to stay warm, she headed to one of her favorite destinations - catering.
Her plan was to grab a quick bite, preferably something small, and get out of there. Until she stopped dead in her tracks. Admittedly, it had been a minute since she felt something like a ‘crush’ but she did get out of a long-term relationship only months prior. But the familiar back of her latest infatuation had her ready to swiftly turn back around and wait till it was time to go to grab something small to eat. But she was brave, she was confident. She could do it. Striding up to the line, she absentmindedly scooped a small serving of rice into a paper bowl before calmly moving closer to the area where everyone else was gathered. Now shoulder to shoulder with him, she spoke up, “... Is that a stew, or…. Why is it cloudy…?” Sydney questioned, hoping he'd take the bait and strike up a conversation.
