My son sat in front of me, asking innocently, “Dad… will I wear new clothes for Eid?” His question broke me… because I couldn't answer him. My wife tried to smile, hiding her fear and exhaustion, while the three of us lived in a tent that offered no protection from the cold or the hardships of life. Today, we're not asking for luxuries… all we want is a tent to shelter us, Eid clothes for my son, and a little bit of security in this cruel world. I'm injured and have lost a part of my body, but my greatest pain is my inability to provide my son with even the simplest joy. These words may sound weak…

dust storms are NOT normal for gaza's ecosystem. these are a product of israel's ecocide, which destroyed the natural environment that otherwise would have kept soil and debris erosion in check. trees, roots, crops, etc, which protected the land have all been bombed over the past two years. with nothing regulating erosion, gazans are left at the mercy of intense waves of polluted, asbestos filled and cancerous dust that get in their lungs and eyes and will cause diseases for generations to come

My father is sick, and he is fighting his illness inside a fragile tent under the cold, relentless rain in the Gaza Strip.

Every day, his condition gets worse. He urgently needs medical care, proper treatment, warm shelter, and proper nutrition. But instead of recovering, he is struggling just to survive.

The rain does not stop. The ground beneath us is soaked. Our clothes are wet. The cold surrounds us from every side. We have no real protection — only thin fabric between us and the harsh weather.

What makes this even more painful is that my father urgently needs eye surgery to save his vision. We need $3,500 for the operation before it is too late. Without this surgery, his condition could become permanent, and he may lose his sight.

I cannot describe how helpless it feels to watch him suffer like this, unable to give him the treatment he desperately needs.

Ramadan is supposed to be a time of mercy and peace. But for us, it is a time of fear and survival. We are simply trying to secure the most basic necessities: Food. Medicine. Warmth. Safe shelter. And now, the urgent surgery that could save his vision.
