Lady Carmelita Bonanza V, Daughter of High Lord Silvanius of Calentia, High Duchess of the Principality of Protero, Mistress of the Luna Cannon, She Who Walks In The Light, Holy Aspirant of the Rose, Doom of the Heretics of Camorria, The Great Lance!
Me and a friend @thatonebirdsposts are planning on getting an imperial Knight and began working away on a concept for the pilot. Since it's primarily going to be used in my Adepta Sororitas army, we framed Lady Carmelita as a noble that truly did want to join the Sisterhood, but had a responsibility to her House to become a pilot, and therefore, colors all she can and styles her armor after the Sororitas.
She is also obsessed with appearances and looking awesome on the battlefield, trying to live up to the glory of the God-Emperor, and impress the sisters that she is fielded with <3

Purity culture is ruining fan culture and you all are fucking annoying
If ots not to much trouble can you do one of tsutey. Where the reader and jake are learning how to use a bow.and by accident reader gets hit by one and cut to jake carrying an implied reader to the tree screaming while the reader is laughing .
it was an accident
'see? so what you wanna do is hold it like… like this… no wait, hang on…' you watched jake battle to position his arrow in his bow as you stifled a chuckle. you honestly couldn't understand why tsu'tey had agreed to let jake train you today; maybe he knew that you could use the laugh.
'okay… must i also include all of the noises of pure struggle?' you teased as jake mocked your words.
'laugh all ya want! but could someone who ain't good with a bow do… this?' he questioned as he released his arrow, hitting the tree in front of him right in the centre. the two of you stared at the target in utter shock, before jake celebrated. 'hell yeah!' he blurted out, raising his bow and hitting you right on the side of your head; causing you to fall to the ground. 'oh, shit.' jake panicked, quickly kneeling down to examine you. he noticed the dark mark that was beginning to form on your head as he saw his life flash before his eyes. 'tsu'tey is gonna kill me…' you couldn't hold back your laughter as you noticed the unadulterated panic in jakes face.
'jake… jake, i am okay!' you struggled between your laughter.
'we gotta get you to the healing tent.' he muttered, still focusing on the mark on your head. without another word, he scooped you up and ran towards the hometree.
as you saw the hometree come into view, you looked up to jake who had dropped a few shades in colour.
'jake, really. i am okay.' you laughed as the two of you came to a stop.
'yawne.' you heard tsu'teys voice call out as he came running over to you. jake placed you lightly on your feet and instantly put his hands up in surrender.
'it was an accident.' he prematurely blurted out as tsu'teys eyes widened at the dark mark on your head. you put a hand on his shoulder and looked into his concerned eyes.
'i am okay. it was worth seeing jake struggle with a bow.' you chuckled as he slowly turned to jake with a growl. jake immediately took off running as tsu'tey was hot on his heels.
'i will give you a matching one!' tsu'tey shouted after him as he continued to chase him through the hometree.
Tsu’tey x Fem! Omatikaya! Mate! Reader ⟶ ꒰Nga yawne lu oer.꒱
Note — requests are open, please read my rules beforehand!
Anonymous Request — Hi! I see your post about Tsu'tey and I love him too. What about a na'vi reader as a warrior? After a fight, many na'vi dies and Tsu'tey have panic bc. He can't find his mate? But she is just injured and he is really happy about it. Thank you for reading!
Summary — When Tsu’tey notices you’re missing, he is struck by fear thinking the worst may have happened to you.
Author’s Notes — I was looking through all my requests and this caught my eye. Especially seeing a Tsu’tey edit motivated me so much to write it. I can’t believe how fast I finished this, I hope you like it.
Word Count — 638 words!
Warnings — Angst, panic, fear, injuries, mention of a deceased character, mention of dead na’vi’s, and fluff at the end.
Glossary — Yawne — Beloved, Tiyawn — love, Nga yawne lu oer — I love you.

Tsu’tey looks over at the aftermath of the raid, some warriors were able to get out alive but some weren’t so lucky. He walks over to his ikran ready to mount him but he looks over to your empty ikran, his chest starts to tighten as he raises his hand to his neck and pressed the button on his communication device. “Yawne, where are you?” he speaks into the communication device. When you don’t answer, he presses the button again as if the first time, he was doing it wrong. “Tiyawn, can you hear me? Are you okay?” Still no answer.
He takes a deep breath trying not to think of the worst outcome. He rushes back onto the battlefield looking at all the bodies that were spread out across the ground. “Please be okay,” He repeats in his head as he searches for you. He doesn’t want to think that there was a possibility that you were gone, if he did then that would mean he would be truly alone in this world.
After losing Sylwanin, he didn’t think he would find love again but then there was you, a strong warrior that stole his attention, he tried not to act on those feelings but the time he spent training you, hanging out with you in his free time, seeing your angelic smile that always made his day better. By then he just knew he couldn’t ignore it any longer and courted you before any guy could snatch you up.
When you accepted his advances, he felt like he was the happiest man alive, he thought this to be his second chance at love and he wasn’t about to take it for granted. He starts to worry as he doesn’t seem to find you anywhere and tears start to form in his eyes as he begins to think of the thought that you might be dead. “She has to be okay… she just has to be,” he lets out a deep breath as his tail drooped sadly.
He clenches his fists as he fights the tears back, "I just got you in my life, I can’t lose you, great mother, please… I beg of you…" His ears perk up as he hears a distant cough and he looks around hoping for it to come from you.
He starts to run toward the direction the cough came from and when he does he sees you trapped under a piece of metal, his eyes widen in fear and he immediately rushes over, easily picking up the scrap metal and throwing it to the side. He examines your state, you had wounds that were placed on your stomach and arms but nothing too serious, he drops to his knees carefully taking you into his arms, and softly embraces you as he silently thanks Eywa causing a small groan to escape from your mouth. “Oops, sorry tiyawn,” he adjusts you softly in his arms to make you more comfortable, he places his lips on your forehead giving it a kiss before looking at your beautiful eyes.
“Tsu’tey, I’m so glad to see you,” you slowly raise your hand to caress his cheek, and a small smile appears on your face, he takes your hand kisses the inside of your palm, and holds it tightly as if he let go, you’d disappear. “You scared me, tiyawn,” the tears that he held back finally spilling down his face “I’m never letting you go again, Nga yawne lu oer,” he kisses your forehead again making you smile but wince when you make a slight move. “Alright, let's get you back so you can get treated.” He carefully picks you up and carries you in bridal style as he slowly makes his way to his ikran, again thanking eywa for bringing you back to him.
Tonowari x Ronal x Fem! Tall! Metkayina! Reader ⟶ ꒰I swear you make it so easy.꒱
Note — requests are open, please read my rules beforehand!
Request From 🫧 — Hi! It’s 🫧 again :D If your requests are still open, could I maybe ask for a Tonowari/Ronal x reader again? (In case you couldn’t tell, they’re my favorites). I read something somewhere about like, tall Na’vi reader, and I can’t get it out of my head. I can imagine Ronal and Tonowari with this huge beefy Metkayina reader, like tattooed to glory and absolutely terrifying, but is actually the softest person ever. Like yeah, the reader can and has taken on the most terrifying beasts you can think of, but they’re reduced to a little purring puddle if Ronal or Tonowari offers to braid their hair or cuddle with them in their Mauri. I tried to put more detail in this time too :P hope this is okay.
Summary — On the outside, you put a tough wall but behind closed doors, Tonowari and Ronal know the real you.
Author’s Notes — This is my first poly fic so go easy with me, it'll become better as I improve on my writing. I love you for this request. I swear I was in the car and was thinking of your request and before I knew it, I was writing some notes for part two. Sorry this took so long. Also sorry this was a bit short but part two is going to be longer!
Word Count — 673 words!
Warnings — Brief mention of readers' deceased parents, you have a specific height and fluff.
Glossary — Marui — homes of Na'vi clans like the Metkayina or the Ta'unui, Akula — a Pandoran ocean animal that roams the reefs of the Eastern Sea.

You were well known amongst the Metkayina clan for being the strongest, bravest, and most fearless warrior they had ever seen. You worked so hard to get the title and never planned on losing it. People felt intimidated by you and let’s be honest they had every right to, you were 8’9 and since you were a hunter, you had your tattoos done on your arms which represented the more exposed protective shield of the seawall.
Any dangerous mission there was, you were on it. You took on the most dangerous animals known to man with no fear and especially no doubt you would lose, You always radiated with confidence. Like today, you returned home from a hunting trip after defeating an akula feeling very proud of yourself. “Y/n… you were…,” Marek nervously tried to put words together but you just stared at him with a blank face watching him fidget with his fingers and avoid eye contact with you, you went to say something warm-hearted but he simply ran away.
It’s not like you intended to put fear in others to the fact that they were too afraid to talk to you, it was just that after your parents died, you put up walls so people couldn’t see how much you were hurting inside, why let people see the soft side of you when you could be the toughest they have ever seen. The tough facade didn't work on two people though.
While the people thought you were this tough scary person that was tough to talk to, Tonowari and Ronal saw a different side to you. You three would be in your shared marui and Tonowari would offer to braid your hair as Ronal would cuddle into you laying her head on your chest as you let out a soft purr, they would say hearing your purr is the music to their ears. You could deny it all you want but when it comes down to the two, they were the only ones to break down your walls seeing the true you, the soft you.
You hear a familiar chuckle from behind, “I swear you make it so easy,” Tonowari says as he walks up to you. “Make what so easy?” he lets out another chuckle as he snakes an arm around your waist pulling you closer to him as you look up at him, you were tall but not taller than him. “I don’t have to scare off potential suitors because you do it for me, can’t have anyone trying to steal you away from us,” you roll your eyes as you fight back a smile threatening to form.
You open your mouth to say something but Ronal interrupts you as she picks up your hand searching for any small or serious injuries that she would have to tend to. You’d argue that she didn’t need to but the amount of time you got hurt during these hunting trips, you learn to deal with it. She searches your whole body and when she sees that you’re fine, she goes to search Tonowari in which he voluntarily does a 360 spin to put her at ease. “Nice, no injuries this time, you two are improving,” she says as a slight smile shows on her face and three of you walk to your shared home as Tonowari and you tell her how the trip went, both complementing each other’s skill.
These happy moments were the only way people would see the smile on your face, seeing how the three of you complement each other perfectly, and how you work so well together. Of course, they saw the arguments that would come up at times but the three of you had it under control that by the next day, things went back to normal. But there was a time in the future when an argument was so bad that it caused a rift in your relationship that had people worried if things were going to be okay between the three of you.
Loved the Ao’nung concept can we get another one where his female mate sees him out with his friends fishing and she is upset about something and walks into his arms resting her head on his chest breathing his scent in for comfort, his friends start laughing but he hisses shutting them up instantly focusing on her calling her his favourite pet name before asking her what’s wrong and just holds her in his arms comforting her, thanks
Ao’nung x Metkayina!reader
Young men’s laughter resonated by the shore. A group of boys could be seen throwing sand at each other, a childish way of spending time together. Ao’nung doubled back as a pile of sand hit the side of his face, just about grazing his wide open mouth. His smile faltered for a second as he looked for who had just assaulted him with the sand ball and the entire group went silent under his harsh glare.
Soon enough, the laughter returned and the cheery atmosphere resurfaced in the midst of the hunter’s group. It wasn’t everyday that they could spend a day together like young teens again, because as they grew, so did their pile of duties. Fishing peacefully at the dock had been one of the most relaxing ways to reunite with the group of friends.
Ao’nung raised a hand to his hair as he smoothed his baby hairs back down. He made a mental check to ask if you could rebraid them once he got back home.
Talking about you, the soft voice that had seemed to call out for his name sounded awfully similar to yours. Maybe because it was, and he was met with the dejected sight of you once he had turned around. You looked so crestfallen that his heart had to double take, but he eventually pulled himself together as he stood tall before you and his friends.
He put his wooden fishing rod beside him as he walked away from the shore, leaving his snickering friends behind. A fish caught onto his hook, pulling his rod into the ocean with little to no care as one of Ao’nung’s friend had to come and retrieve it before it disappeared forever. He remained silent as he watched your unmoving frowned-lips twitch at the sound of his friends snickering, but you paid no other attention to them.
You were here for your mate and not one of his knucklehead friend. Your footsteps led you to exactly where you had wanted to be, and your arms encircled his torso as you nuzzled your face in his hard chest. Ao’nung huffed when your head made harsh contact with his chest, but he eventually melted as he saw your shoulders drop. His embrace and presence brought you comfort, and as much as he didn’t know the reasons of it, he knew that you needed it right now.
His ears flattened at the sound of blaring laughter, and he turned his head around to throw a harsh glare at his friends once more. Though it wasn’t enough to calm their tittering, the venomous hiss that he sent them was what had shut them up. His fangs were bared and on display as he mirrored his mother’s fierceness, and everyone feared Ronal.
Ignoring the now awkward silence behind him, he turned his head back to you, bringing a finned hand up to caress your hair. His touch and mere presence was enough to ground you, and his scent had invaded the deepest part of your body. His chest heaved as he chuckled at your clinginess, the feeling of your nose against his chest slightly tickling him.
“What is wrong, yawne?” he questioned, not bothering to move you from your comfortable spot in his chest. Your tail swaggered involuntarily at the nickname, and for a second you had forgotten all of your worries. His concern picked up at your silence, but the sight of your tail picking up the pace told him that it was nothing serious.
“Nothing important, just needed to be near you.” you murmured as your face was still burried into his chest, your voice being muffled by his body. “We can discuss it once you get home, for now you should rejoin your friends. Go before an akula catches onto your hook,” you joked, finally lifting your head up to meet his similar aqua eyes. They were so full of love that they melted all of your worries away, and the hands that had snaked their way towards your back made you feel so warm.
Ao’nung grinned at your joke, before turning around swiftly to check on his forgotten rod, only to see that one of his friends had it in check beside him. The said boy nodded his head towards Ao’nung in a signal to tell him to go, and so he did.
“Actually, I think I'd rather go now. Plus you can catch me up on whatever is making you upset as you redo my braids.” he caressed the side of your face endearingly as you felt yourself leaning into his touch. You nodded your head moderately before the both of you set off towards your shared marui, hands firmly clasped together.
He’d make it up to his friends on another day, and he was sure that they’d forgive him. For, friends always tease each other, this just wasn’t the time for it and it didn’t mean that Ao’nung had resented them for it either. For now, Ao’nung had mate duties that he had to attend, and even if it means staying up all night to hear you talk about your sorrows, then he will make sure that his eyelids do not even flicker as you express yourself.
another 2k drabble <3 just rotxo being his sweet lil self with his grumpy protector gf
_________ ׂׂૢ་༘࿐
rotxo was shorter than most men in your clan. even though he stood at 7'7 he was nowhere near the towering heights of other metkayina men, even his best friend ao'nung.
so those 'friends' that ao'nung had, tended to be the same ones ridiculing rotxo.
"oh rotxo! i didn't realise it was you...i thought you were a child!" the boy laughed, teasingly patting rotxo on the head to make him feel smaller.
rotxo snarlled, flicking the boys hand off him "get off me!"
"what will you do shortie? you cant fight like a real man." they pushed his shoulder back, making rotxo stumble on his feet slightly.
a plummetting feeling in your stomach rumbles within you when you hear rotxo's hiss. he never hisses, like ever.
that's why you jumped out of your comfortable spot in the wading water, striding towards where you could see rotxo.
you were known for being one of the fiercest warriors in the clan. your way with a spear was deadly, your combat was lethal.
so when the group of boys saw you striding towards them, as the force of your step crumbled the sand below you.
"oh! look rotxo your little girlfriend here to protect you-" cut off with a harsh crack to his jaw. knuckles stung as you watched the cocky man buckle below you.
"do you wanna fucking die?!" you crouched to grabbed the boys shoulder, shaking him harshly.
"y/n..." rotxo tried to touch your back, hoping to get you out of your crazed rage but he was pushed out of the way by another angry boy whacking you with his tail.
you stumbled slightly, death glaring at the sneering guy in front of you.
baring your fangs, a throaty hiss escaping you charged. fists plummeted into the boys face, an occasional retaliation hit, cracking into your face.
rotxo was growing more and more concerned, running behind you to yank you off the bruised boy under you. "y/n get off him!"
you tripped off the boy, hissing loudly as rotxo held tightly onto your hand as he scurried away from the scene. "you're so stupid! you could've got hurt!"
"no, i'm fine." your voice was hoarse, slightly sulking that he pulled you away. he let go of your hand to see your frowning face littered with bruises and cuts.
"you got hurt! look at your face." he carressed his thumb over your cheek, hissing as he ran over a cut.
"should've seen the other guy." mumbling you were still frowning.
"i did see. actually. now stop sulking you're the one who smashed those boys to a pulp." you groaned throwing your hands up like a sulking toddler.
"i am going to stand up for you, they can't make fun of you." rotxo gave you a small little smile, wiping your lip as a little bit of blood dripped off it.
"my fierce warrior always protecting me." he pulled you closer, letting your frame crash into him as he hugged you tightly. you squirmed against him, your frowning upset exterior melting away as you smiled brightly hugging him back. "i think that's the first time i've seen you smile!"
" shut up."
"is my warrior embarrassed?" he giggled still hugging you, shifting his weight from side to side.
"no."
"c'mon lets patch you up, okay?" you nodded begrudgingly as he squeezed your hand leading you towards the tsa'hiks hut.
hi! Can I request a tsu'tey story, where along meeting Jake he also meets a human who looks strangely a lot like Sylwanin (of course in human version)? Like, he is in utter confusion as to how it's possible but sees it as a second chance. Don't wanna ask anything too specific, you're good at writing these stories so I'll leave it up to you how you wanna do it. 🥰
thank you so much for the request angel! i hope you like it xx
you will be safe
pairing: tsu’tey x fem human reader
warnings: ambush, mild swearing
word count: 700
you sat under a tree of the forest, your knees up to your chin as you glanced out to the darkness of the night; you and jake had been chased by a thanator and your only chance at survival was to split up. you were alone and you were afraid. jake was in his avatar form so he would fare much better than you in depths of the pandoran forest. you on the other hand were in your human form as your avatar was not yet ready; but you just couldn't wait to get those stupid samples.
your heart stopped in your chest as you heard rustling and steps around you. you closed your eyes as you rocked yourself back and forth; but your eyes abruptly shot open as you heard a familiar voice call out your name.
'JAKE!!' you called back; relief washing over you as he appeared from the foliage. 'oh… jake.' you sighed as he bent down to your height; examining you for injuries.
'are you okay? are you hurt?' he questioned as you shook your head.
'no… no, i'm okay.' you promised. your gaze fell upon a na'vi woman standing behind jake who was staring at you in shock; she was looking at you as if she knew you. you looked to jake in worry as he held up his hands to reassure you.
'it's okay… she's here to help us.' he spoke as you looked towards the woman.
'thank you.' you breathed as her eyes lingered on you. but she soon shook her head, glancing between the two of you and turning on her heels; sprinting away.
'come.' she ordered as jake sighed.
'she's stubborn.' he chuckled as he patted his back. 'jump on. there's no way your little legs can keep up.'
you clung to jake for dear life as he ran after neytiri, jumping over great heights as you squeezed your eyes shut; not wanting to look down.
'oh god… oh god, oh god…' you whined as jake kept his gaze on the woman in front of him.
'you know…' he called out to her. 'i never got your name.'
before you could process what had happened; the two of you fell to the ground with a thud.
'ah, shit!' you cried out, rubbing your head. you looked down at jake; his legs had been tied with some sort of throwing weapon. suddenly, war cries could be heard as five or six warriors approached on their pa'li. you felt your heart sink in your chest as you watched one of them jump off their pa'li, heading straight towards you and jake. the woman tried to stop him as they conversed in na'vi; you were able to decipher a few of the words that were spoken, one of which was demon.
'mawey, tsu'tey.' the woman spoke towards the angry na'vi that she had called tsu'tey. 'they need our help.'
'we do not help these demons.' he responded in english to ensure he got the message across. his face was like that of fire; contorted in fury as he looked at jake. but then, his eyes fell on you; and his gaze instantly softened. he slowly walked towards you before kneeling down in front of you; staring at you with bewilderment in his eyes. your breath hitched as he raised a hand towards your face; his fingertips running along your features.
'sylwanin…' he trailed off as you looked to him in confusion. his tone was much softer than his previous words as he continued to stare at you. he soon brought himself back to reality as he shook his head; removing his hand from your face. but, he still gazed at you with curious eyes.
'i- i'm not sylwanin…' you trailed off. you did not know who sylwanin was; but she had evidently left an impact on the warrior. tsu'tey glanced between you and jake as neytiri placed a hand on his shoulder.
'they will die out here.' she warned. tsu'tey thought for a moment as he looked at you with soft eyes before he stood to his feet; holding out a hand for you to take.
'come.' he spoke. 'you will be safe.' you reached for his hand; your heart fluttering as your fingers intertwined.

‘mama… wake up.’ you heard a soft voice plead as a small finger lightly prodded at your shoulder. you lazily opened one of your eyes before your gaze fell upon an excited vu'ran. 'good morning.’ he smiled as he crawled over you, laying in between you and tsu'tey in your cot. you turned over in the bed to face him as tsu'tey began to wake from his sleep.
'morning, vu.’ you smiled, lightly tracing his cheek with your fingertips as tsu'tey watched you both with adoration in his eyes. this was something he always had longed for; to wake up with his family by his side.
Anonymous Request: I would like to request a Neteyam x Na'vi reader with the "you'll never be her trope", where reader is promised to Neteyam, but he loves another. He is sort of a shitty asshole to her, a girl who is a quiet not very well known member of the clan; he treats reader with the coldest shoulder. However, he overhears the girl talking to her friends about how she just using Neteyam to gain status in the clan. He then sees reader for the caring person she is, and grovels for forgiveness.
I have resigned myself to my fate.
In what feels like a very short amount of time, I will be mated for life before Eywa, to a man who does not love me. In fact, he barely seems to tolerate me.
He looks at me with disappointment, and sometimes, it even looks like he feels disgusted by me.
It wasn't always this way. Neteyam used to be a friend, and someone I trusted. He was so kind and good-hearted when we were younger, but he has turned his back on me and come to resent our pairing.
As if it is my choice! I am the next Tsahik of our people, and he the next Olo'eyktan. We are promised to each other from youth, and there's nothing either of us can do that would not cause much upset in the clan, and with our families.
Though Neteyam clearly does not want to be mated to me, even more than that, he does not want to upset his family.
The change in his heart happened just a year ago, and it was slow at first. We went from friends to acquaintances to strangers, and now to near enemies, because of her.
I don't really blame her, though. He fell in love with her, and she can't control that. I felt jealous at first, but over time, as Neteyam has treated me more and more coldly, I have started to hate both of them.
If I'm being honest, I understand why he loves her; she is beautiful, and funny, and many men have had their eyes on her. I am plain, and small, and not many people speak to me. She does seem a better match for someone like Neteyam, and I almost wish we could be free of this pairing.
As much as Neteyam does not want to disappoint his family, I don't want to disappoint our people; I am a talented healer and I will serve our people well as Tsahik.
So I have resigned myself to my fate.
Our fate.
--
Neteyam watches Sa'me from a distance, as she approaches the center of home tree with her friends, dropping off a full fishing net from a day's work.
His heart swells with pride at the woman he loves, and then, he gets angry. These two feelings always accompany each other.
Love and adoration for Sa'me, and disappointment towards his fate. It doesn't matter who he loves; he's promised to Y/N, and he can't get out of it. That's just not how it works.
She is the next Tsahik and he knows, despite how he wants things to be, that she will be an excellent Tsahik for their people. He has to put the people before himself.
But he does not have to be happy about it.
He approches Sa'me and her friends, but their backs are to him as they empty their nets, and as he gets closer, he hears their conversation.
"Aren't you worried, about his upcoming mating ceremony?" one friend asks.
To his surprise, Sa'me laughs. "No! I have gotten what I wanted, and I am relieved it will end soon."
He stops in his tracks, listening closely.
"Sa'me!" a friend chastises.
"Well, I have three offers for my hand, from fine men. I owe that to Neteyam. When they knew he wanted me, that made them want me. I think I'll pick Marek - he's handsome and strong. Neteyam is nice, but too boring for me. Plus, the way he's treated Y/N since we started spending time together... I almost feel bad for her. She will have a miserable life."
The girls laugh, and Neteyam spins on his heel, charging away.
--
He expects sympathy from his sister, but earns only an eye-roll when he tells Kiri what he overheard.
"Well, she's right. You knew you were promised and pursued Sa'me anyway, even though it was kind of obvious what she was doing. And you have been an asshole to Y/N. She's really nice to still put up with you - to even speak with you. You've treated her like dirt the last year, and she's never said a mean thing about you. Even though, she would be right to do it."
Neteyam stares at his sister, slack jawed, unsure whether to feel angry or guilty. A fine mixture of both rises in his chest, and he sighs.
"You used to be friends with her, you know. She's so sweet, and so kind. She's only putting up with your behavior so she can be Tsahik, and not because she cares about the title. She wants to help the People, and knows she'll be able to if she's Tsahik. She just has to marry an asshole to do it."
"Okay, okay," Neteyam says, waving his hand in the air, begging his sister to stop.
"Well, I just don't feel bad for you, Teyam. You need to grow up and deal with what you did."
He rolls his eyes, but he can't deny it: Kiri is right.
--
Without her noticing, Neteyam starts to watch Y/N as much as he can from that day in. Her daily routine is simple. She rises early, and heads into the forest to gather supplies she can use in her healing practice. Once she's done, she begins going around to people who she knows need her help, in and out of their homes all day, gaining hugs and smiles and thanks wherever she goes.
She is soft-spoken, and kind hearted, and her small stature only serves to make her seem more gentle, more dispositioned for healing.
He sees the way people look at her as she approaches - they look at her with relief, and hope, and when she leaves, she leaves people better than she found them.
Neteyam feels sick to his stomach.
He tries to remember what it is about Sa'me that drew him in. He sees her beauty, he can't deny it still, but it's clear now that her beauty is only on the surface.
Did she ever compliment him? Support him? Offer him a kind word?
He can't even remember what they talked about... for a year.
"Neteyam?"
He turns from the tree he's leaning against and sees Y/N approaching, a large basket in her arms.
"You look ill. Are you okay?"
Neteyam wants to tell her he's fine, that she should leave, but he feels light-headed and instead, he sinks to the ground, a sweat breaking out on his brow.
"I'm... okay. My head feels light."
She kneels in front of him, rummaging through her basket. She pours a few things in a cup, and mixes them together with a powder.
"Here," she says, handing it to him. He takes it, his hands touching hers for a second, and he's struck by how small her hands are.
She's so delicate, like a flower, and he has certainly done his best to trample all over her.
The shame he feels is unlike anything he's ever felt before.
The drink is bitter, but it starts working almost immediately, and the faint feeling begins to fade.
"Thank you, Y/N," he says, handing the cup back to her. She takes it with a small smile and a nod, and rises to leave. Neteyam reaches out, grabbing her arm. "Wait."
She turns, frowning down at him. He stands up.
"I want to apologize to you, Y/N. I have been... terrible. I have neglected you, and I have been an asshole. I'm sorry. I would like to start again."
She tilts her head to the side and narrows her eyes, staring deep into him. He wonders if she can see his soul.
--
Of all of the things I thought Neteyam wanted to say to me, 'I'm sorry' was not even on the list.
My instinct is to tell him to go to tell, but there is such a strange look on his face... he still looks sick, and sad, and a little bit ashamed.
Well, he should be. But also - what choice do I have? If Neteyam is offering me a chance to make the best of this situation, shouldn't I take it?
I remember how I felt about him once. Hopeful, excited, nearly in love... but that feeling is so far away now. I'm not sure if there's even a possibility of re-gaining it.
But, it seems smart to try, if we are to have any chance at a happy life.
"Okay," I reply finally. "But I don't think Sa'me will appreciate it."
Neteyam hangs his head for a moment, and then meets my eyes again. "What she appreciates does not matter. You are to be my mate. You are all that matters."
He places a hand over his heart.
I would like to trust him, but it's going to take more than one conversation where he says the right things.
--
It seems I cannot get rid of Neteyam now. When I gather supplies in the morning, he is there. When I make my rounds in the village, he is there. He is always... there.
Not silently, either. He is full of questions. Everything I do and say, he has a question about. If it wasn't endearing, it would be exhausting.
After a week of this, he asks me to take a ride on our ikrans with him - and I can't say no. I have been so busy working lately, that it sounds like a wonderful and welcome break.
Early in the morning, we head out together, and take one of the longest rides I've ever been on. In the air, we twist and turn and glide together, and all the while, Neteyam is whooping and throwing me ear-to-ear smiles.
He gestures to a nearby cave in the floating rocks, and we land together, dismounting. We are both wind-burnt, but smiling.
"I must ask you something," I say.
"Anything," Neteyam replies, chest heaving from the effort of riding.
"Why did you change your mind? About Sa'me?"
His face darkens, and he sighs. "I overheard her talking about how being seen with me has gotten her offers from many fine potential mates, and she doesn't care that I'm promised to someone else."
I wince. Even if Neteyam is a jerk, I don't think anyone deserves to be used like that.
"I'm sorry, Neteyam. Though, that does explain your sudden... interest."
He shakes his head. "No. After I heard what Sa'me said, I went to Kiri and she, uh, pointed out what an asshole I've been. She also pointed out how kind and smart and talented you are, probably to let me know, uh, what an asshole I've been. So I started kind of, uh, watching you. And I realized she was right."
"About what?"
"Well, I am an asshole but... you are the most kind-hearted woman in this clan. And you did not try to withdraw from our match because you deserve to be Tsahik. Not for the title, but because you are best suited to serve our people. You care about them more than yourself. You're selfless. And beautiful. And I was blind to think anyone could be better suited for me."
I bite my lip, and take a step back. "Neteyam, that all sounds very nice, but I..."
He steps forward, reaching out and taking both of my hands in his. "It isn't enough. I know that, Y/N. I don't expect our problems to be solved now. I just want a chance to prove to you, who I really am. What a good mate I can be for you. I can make you happy. I want to. It's all I want."
I can feel the tears gathering in my eyes, and I blink hard to keep them at bay. "I always thought so highly of you, Neteyam. I want us to be happy. I want to try."
He squeezes my hand tightly, pulling me to him.
"I will make you happy. I promise you, Y/N. Please, let me kiss you."
I hesitate for only a moment. The look in his eyes is so sincere, and his eyes fall down to my lips for just a moment, then back up to my eyes, and I can't resist. Everything I want seems to be within my grasp.
He places his hands around my waist, and pulls me in.
"Say yes," he whispers. I can't find my voice, but I nod.
The kiss is explosive. A year of anger, frustration and want packed into one kiss. My body is flush to his, and I feel the tears spilling over, but I can't stop them, and I don't want to pull away.
It feels too good.
I put my hands in his hair, gripping tightly, sighing against his lips, and he groans.
Finally, we pull away, and stare at each other, both breathless.
What if human reader was human for some time while being with neteyam. And to surprise him, human reader shows up one day in a avatar body as a surprise? How’d you think he react?
simply saying he’d surprised or happy is an understatement, so let me explain :)
Figment
pairing: neteyam x fem! human to na’vi reader
warnings: none!
At first, he would be completely shocked. Disbelieving and apprehensive at the unexpected sight. A brow raised as he grants a curt response to a woman he truly believes he’s never spoken to in all his years on the moon. Amber eyes not meeting the unfamiliar pair.
Neteyam keeps his attention reserved for you, out of respect towards your feelings of indifference because of your unusual appearance. Constantly feeling out of place, you fear no one will ever take your relationship with him seriously because of how you look.
Because you’re a human. A vrrtep, the na’vi say. In other words, or in other languages, a sky demon. And it’s crippling. The way the thought takes home in your mind like a measly pest you can’t get rid of. A constant reminder when you look in the mirror that you’ll never be like him. You’re different, and he’s never cared, but you do.
And while he does indulge in conversations with other girls, he’s never allowed his eyes to linger, or the conversation to draw out longer than it needs to. Never desiring attention from another; deferential but never dallying.
Neteyam makes sure you know that he loves you, whether you look like him or not. He doesn’t care that you aren’t na’vi, and he’s been told a transfer isn’t possible, anyway. All he cares about is ensuring you are happy. Happy with him. All he cares for is your heart.
But he smells you. He swears he does. His scrupulous nostrils flooding with the all too familiar scent of lily blossoms and eucalyptus that he finds oh so tantalizing. He could pick your scent out of hundreds, thousands, with the utmost ease. But he doesn’t see your small frame in the corner of his eye, bundled joy excitedly bouncing around him with a mission to peel his attention from his task, like it usually does.
He doesn’t feel your nimble, dainty hands tugging at his tail just to get a reaction out of him, like they usually do. How you giggle every time he hisses at you to cut it out— being the only one in the entire village who perceives it as cute instead of threatening, like it is. And he’ll roll his eyes at you, feigning annoyance but ultimately crumbling as you never fail to pull a smile out of him.
It wasn’t you.
But God- why does he smell you?
He doesn’t feel your tiny fingers curl around his large pinky that you quickly discovered was much easier to hold than his entire hand. Always demanding physical contact in some form, even if it were as insignificant as toying with the wooden crafted beads he keeps strung on one of his braids while he rants about his days.
It can’t be you.
So he pays no attention to the slender, azure body that stands tall before him. The tail you’re still trying to gain control over swishing enthusiastically behind you as you try to get him to look your way. He attempts to blink away what he thinks is a daydream. Quickly shaking his head to snap him out of whatever trance that’s trying to entrap him while he continues winding a new string into the nock of his bow.
You tilt your head and smile, not able to hold back an intense eye roll at how hard he’s trying to convince himself of what his heart already knows. “You cannot possibly be this dense, Tey.” You place your hands on your hips when you huff out a laugh.
That’s your voice, but where are you?
The tip of his ear flicks at the oddly familiar nickname and they perk up almost instantly, his head whipping to face who it came from, long braids following their suitor. His tail standing at attention, almost straight like his spine. Copycat.
His wide eyes travel down the length of your body, then back up. Brows pinching together incredulously as he tries to make sense of this, slowly placing his weapon down in front of him.
He hasn’t seen you in days, something about you having urgent business to tend to back at the lab. You told him you didn’t know when you would be back, that it might take longer than you planned. And he’s spent the past week sulking around the village and defensively shooting sharp glances to those he thought sounded relieved of your absence.
So he assumed the soft voice emitting from the woman in front of him was simply a hallucination, merely a figment of his cursed imagination. Until he locked eyes with her.
With you.
He takes cautious strides over to where you stand and you suddenly feel an unexpected wave of nervousness wash over you. Your toes wriggling against the mossy forest floor in anticipation, teeth you didn’t expect to be this sharp finding your bottom lip as you wait for him to speak.
Did he not like you anymore, now that you looked different? You hadn’t taken as little as a second to think what his reaction would be. The moment your dewy lids peeled apart, hands wearily fanning in front of your blurred vision to reveal blue, you were out of the lab and bundling through the forest, eager to surprise your beloved.
Everything was different. From the color of your balmy skin to the overall size of the body he had grown to know all too well. Your big eyes glinting a warm yellow back at him, blinking hopefully. The tip of your nose a flush pink to match your blushing face, smattered freckles adorning pristine features.
But one thing had stayed the same.
The way your supple lips would curve into a downwards smile and melt his heart, the first thing he found himself falling in love with when you were a human.
“Y/n?” He whispers. Fearful that if he speaks too soon, too loud, he’ll be torn from what he’s most certain is a dream.
You beam up at him through dense lashes, head bobbing excitedly as confirmation while your cheeks grow sore from the wide stretch of a heart-halting grin.
The space between the two of you is closed in a moment.
“But… How?” His head shakes in disbelief. Lips parted in astonishment, marveling eyes unable to stop their in depth search over the unforeseen changes presented in front of him.
He gently reaches forward to grab your hands, peering down at them and counting your fingers under his breath. Just to be sure it was really you. And with the way his hands are shaking, he can’t believe he isn’t seeing double.
One, two, three… four. Four.
And you exhale shakily, finding it hard to use your voice to answer— too busy soaking in the feeling of your hands that now fit perfectly into his. Like the last missing piece to a puzzle you had finally located after losing it somewhere on the floor, along with your mind while you searched for it. You bask in the feeling of finally being one of the people. Reeling in the chance to finally be one with him.
“Norm.” You say, simply. Realizing you’re out of breath just from the way he’s ogling you. The two of you looking deeply into the other’s eyes as if this had been your first time recognizing your feelings.
Holding your hands in his, he raises the backs of them to his lips. Fervently nuzzling his nose along the stripe that stretches across your smooth skin and inhaling your scent. Until now, he was fully convinced it wasn’t possible for you to smell any more heavenly than you already did. And boy, was he wrong.
His eyes are soft, filled to the brim and threatening to overflow with pure adoration as he places light, dawdling kisses to your knuckles, never taking his gaze off you for a second.
And by the looks of how his pupils swell to match yours; he’s falling in love with you all over again.
