another fake comic book cover, inspired by david aja's work on hawkeye. featuring mickey's proper superhero costume... there's a lot of character development that takes place before she gets that suit.

everyone hates the transporter.

mickey tries to keep her meta-human status under wraps.

but when she was fifteen she successfully teleported into a bank, stuffed a backpack with several thousands of dollars, and teleported out without being caught... in the act. she was quickly tracked down once A.R.G.U.S. became involved. being a minor they spared her a prison sentence in exchange for conducting research on her abilities. over the past several years they've contacted her for missions... which mostly devolve into coercing her into participation.

she can only teleport. she doesn't have a stomach for violence, she's not super durable or super strong. aside from a few opportunities to user her powers for good in her daily life, she'd much rather focus on her career. she believes if her abilities were public knowledge it'd be more of a target on her back than a positive, because of their less than savory uses. A.R.G.U.S. has only proved her right. it's incredibly difficult to convince a person who's biggest skill is leaving to do anything she doesn't want to do. they've always found a way when they've put their mind to it.

mickey is often minnette or morris to any government agencies, or heroes / villains / meta-humans she's met during missions. yet she's gotten the nickname transporter. it's less of a superhero name and more the description of her written down on government paperwork. transporter is the job they give her, the name just stuck on it's own.

this is minnette gray morris, who is just known as mickey. mickey more in her professional credits. if you call her minnette morris, you probably work for the government.

stunt man / professional stunt double, adrenaline junkie, and meta-human who's only superpower is teleportation. this is an oc idea i had way back when i first watched doom patrol, and made over for the dc cinematic universe. more specifically after bingewatching the suicide squad + peacemaker this week. i'm squeezing her like a stress ball.

it's amazing how good you'll get at extreme sports, extreme stunts, and back flips when you can spontaneously teleport out of any situation that will break your neck.

small dog can’t remember being a wolf  can’t remember being big  howling in harpstring harmony  like a plucked and quivering note in a catacomb  sleeping in a warm pile of bodies in a dry place that smells like family  the taste of fresh hot blood and wet bone iron fire honey salt
