It had been a long time since Helen of Themyscira had been home. Having left the island at sixteen to follow in her sister's footsteps and find her true parents, it only took her a few years to become disillusioned with Man's World and leave it behind entirely. Instead, Elena Franco spends her time in the lush forest and wet climate of Evergreen, Washington, helping the kind old neighbors in her apartment complex, working as a fitness instructor, and most importantly, going unnoticed by the government as they begin to investigate metahuman activity. Except Amanda Waller has had her eye on her for quite some time, and it's only a matter of time before a man in black comes knocking on her door with a proposition she can't refuse. He keeps her safe from the clutches of ARGUS, while she investigates the death of his son. The name she's given...Christopher Smith aka Peacemaker. So when he walks into Fennel Fields with a neckbeard and a woman who is definitely a secret agent of some kind, Elena knows the universe is giving her another chance. As for what will happen if she takes it...well, that's a problem for future Elena.
