Dal, Baati and Churma
A combination of three different delicacies, it is a complete meal in itself. The Dal or lentil curry, is served with Baati, a roundel of stuffed flour that is baked over charcoals. Churma is a sweet dish made with flour, jaggery or sugar and a generous helping of ghee. In terms of flavours there are a lot of different combinations available like a simple plain baati or stuffed with spicy masalas or dry fruits. The local way to eat is to break the Baati like a roti, mix in some daal and churma, pour lot of ghee over this and relish it.
