What times do we live in?

5 minutes ago I received notice that there have been threats of a mass shooting at my school (from a white supremacist I'm sure) about all the recent student activism on campus. The reality that my campus could easily and not so surprisingly in today's climate be the site of the next mass shooting is terrifying. 2 mins ago the Scripps Board of Trustees announced they were going to sign a letter of solidarity with the students of color. I was at today's demonstration as an ally, but there has been so much work I haven't even been a part of. In 2 minutes I have a scheduled interview with Judge Gray (former libertarian VP candidate) about the structural white supremacy of drug laws. In a week I'll be home. Praying a mass shooting doesn't happen before then and terrified at the prospect that it could actually happen from an angry student who wrote about how student activists are pussies and full of shit and that, "I will personally shoot each and every one of you." With today's climate, I don't take this as a joke.
