Ippo doing his roadwork like usual near the river bank. The sunset is beautiful, it remind him of when he says a goodbye to volg zangief- it's been awhile, isn't? I wonder how is his doing now.. Is he still an active boxer? - or worse- retired?! - okay okay! .. I think too much- lets just continue to focus on the road work..
He was doing well- until he saw a familiar silhouette within the sunset- is that.. Volg zangief?!
In this time, Volg were finding a coach from USA, because his gloves are given to ippo, he need to get the gloves back. He didn't order a hotel or something.. So he sleep on the street, thats why his clothes are a bit dirty when ippo found him.
Ippo concern when saw volg saying he were sleeping on the street- so he decided to offering his place for him to sleep. Volg were greatful and thank him for the offering, then they walk together to ippo's home. Hiroko greet volg with a warm smile that makes him a bit back to memory.
"Ah, ippo? You bring one of your friend? "
She said as she get closer to the two boys, she just make dinner not so long ago.
"Yes mom, and uhm.. Can he stay in here for a while? He didn't order motel at the time... "
The mother and son were discussing, and volg a bit left out, he afraid if he's doesn't allowed to be in here, or even accepted in here..
"Well then, volg-kun, please make yourself comfortable. "
She said as she hold volg hand with both hands, a sign of agreement of his presence in this home. He can't help but form smile between his lips.
"Thank you mother, I appreciate your kindness. "
He slightly bowed at her as she get inside the kitchen again and ippo guide him to his room.
The room is neat and nice, probably enough for the two of them. Then volg put down his bag as ippo open the oshiire, trying to find the glove.
"And.. Here it is, volg-san, I'm sorry if its kinda dirty.. "
He said as he gave the glove to volg, the gloves are pretty neat, just the pesky dust cover it all.
"No no its okay, the gloves are nice, I appreciate that the fact you keep it in your Cupboard. "
He said as he exaime for one time then put it in his bag.
Then both of them had dinner, yeah it's a bit messy to ippo because the fact his mom being a but teasy to volg when she offer the natto, volg really enjoying the time with them, it's just feels like home.
After that, both of them are going to sleep, and ippo goes to grab one futon again, until her mother said that the futon is outside, and didn't dry yet. Then it makes that there's only one futon, and both of them (ippo and volg) are offering back-to-back because both of them feel bad.
"Nonono- you take the futon, volg-san! I'm okay with sleeping on the floor. "
He said, doesnt want volg to feel cold in the night.
"But Makunouchi... It's your room, you suppose to take the futon, it's okay. I already used to sleep in the floor. "
"No- I mean! Uhh,, just take the futon please, I appreciate the kindness you gave but I'm only a guest here, and you're the one who owns the room! "
Both of them ended up sleeping together in the small futon, they decide to put a pillow between them, it was an awkward tension, both of their heart beating fast with no context at all, they are only friends- why their heart beating so fast? Then both of them fall asleep.
In his dreams, volg were hugging his mother, the hug is just so warm and comfortable, it just like the old time before he leaves to Japan. He gave a warm hug before leaving to the airport. But then he suddenly wakes up in the middle of the comfort, dang it..
As he wants to move aside- he feel a heavy weight on his chest, as if.. - oh God oh god- ippo is on his chest?! - his breath are steady, calm.. Unaware what's happening. Volg can't help but pats his head gently, and pull him in a warm embrace.. Hope he doesn't mind that, will he?
