ok so i just watched Transformers Earthspark season 4… i took notes while watching because i was genuinely baffled by how bad it was (also ive only watched season 1 and like 3 episodes of season 2 (it was boring so i gave up) so like i know i dont know all the context)
(also this was done in bad faith)
if we lived in a perfect world, instead of whatever the fuck actually happened, s2 of earthspark would have progressed starscream's arc by having him come out as transgender (to complete the girl seeker trifecta) and go on robot estrogen
is this anything
transformers reboot where everything is the same but Bulkhead is one of those giant 15 seater Ford 5000 van things
one of my favorite parts of Prime Defenders is how the main 3 are all from different forms of table top games. Dakota is actually from Mutants and Masterminds, William is from Call of Cthulhu, and Vyncent is from Dungeons and Dragons.
idk its a small detail but ive always found it cool that they technically all come from different forms of TTRPGs. i think it just adds so much more to their characters and friendship.
It makes sense why Dakota wants to be a superhero so badly, because he’s from the game where that is what you have to be. he’s the one actually from New Haven, so of course he acts as a partial guide to Will and Vync. but then also he’s the only one from M&M, so it makes sense why he wants to go this traditional super hero route. He knows how bad the world can be but he chooses to do what a hero would do, because heros have morals and standards and if you’re not a hero you’re a villian.
William is from CoC, where anything and everything can and will go wrong. which funnily enough is reflected in his deaths. the first one is obvious, he fell off a cliff chasing after a will-o-wisp. who does that? but even then the other deaths: he punched a guy, he punched a wall, during the final battle he was put in a safe zone only to literally get torn out of it. to someone else he’s weird and ghoulish, but to Deadwood he was the normal. (and in hindsight it also ties into him not being a fighter and preferring that careful, detective like method of fighting crime. it also totally ties into the Greyscale arc, because in CoC, when worst comes to worst you grab that chainsaw and you make that bomb. who needs morals when the world is at stake?)
and Vyncent being from D&D will forever be one of the coolest things every. first and foremost, the “im not from around here” jokes. but actually looking into his character its so interesting. he’s not human, its such a simple, normal thing for D&D, but to any other non-fantasy game its unheard of. there is quite literally no better way to show that Vync is from a different dimension, hes just not human. i love what they did with the different classes as his powers, but then once the Greats leave what is he? its like being set back to being a level one commoner. the D&D abilities didn’t fully transfer to M&M anyway, and without them he’s just some guy.
no conclusion im going to bed ill edit this in the morning
haven’t posted in a while sorry
guys how do we think Williams departure of Deadwood was?
like did he just tell UPP that he had to move? but then why was just he moving if his parents stayed in Deadwood? did he not tell UPP and so they just think he disappeared? do the UPP members think he died?
better question: do the UPP members know that William died? did he tell them? did he just disappear off the face of the earth for them? do they think that William is buried somewhere in the Deadwood cemetery?
do you think they hope that his ghost will show up? and were any of them there for the Trickster fight? would they have even recognized him? would he recognize them?
anywho gn
they are so stupid
Can you imagine being William Wisp and you're witnessing horrors beyond your comprehension in your home town, then one day you you die but not really and some guy shows up telling you that you're gonna be a super hero. And the next thing you know you're fighting a middle aged man in green spandex named Le Frog.
forgiveness is difficult isn’t it?
big fan of whatever the youth is doing to torment scientology buildings
Euripides (Tr. Anne Carson) / @wholeheartedsuggestions / Jenny Slate / Euripides again
ok this is so hyper specific to me, BUT, one of my favorite parts about Prime Defenders is that the world really does remind me of just living in New England. Like you have your big cities (one of which is literally named New Haven (shout out CT)), but then theres also small towns like Deadwood (which btw as someone from a New England small town, Deadwood really does remind me of that), and theres docs and beautiful wooded mountains and like crime in the cities—
actually changing my thoughts here, Prime Defenders actually just takes place in Connecticut. Like first of all New Haven as actual New Haven, and then Rockfall is like Hartford (idk i’ve actually only ever been to Hartford for hockey games lol) and the Coles live somewhere on East and/or West Rock. Bridgeport is totally somewhere in there, no exact place just vibes
ok i cant explain this one but the tech reminds me a lot of the Pearl Harbor memorial bridge (dont ask me how it just does) Also just in general the Bell Tech stuff reminds me a lot of the massive corporation building you can find, while also at the same time being slightly reminiscent of like Groton and those other richer areas
forget all of Bizlys lore about PD taking place on Mars or whatever, im moving it to CT
shout out to all the jrwi Prime Defenders fans from Connecticut… not sure how many of us exist….
had hamburger helper beef stroganoff for the first time ever and i now fully get why William felt that much hatred towards a food
UTMV Infection Au - Tale of The End The Beginning (Part 1)
prime defenders season 3 predictions
- milo will be playing an entirely new character, possibly with a technological focus to contrast the party's more mystic/magic themes
- tidalwave will NOT be canon but tide x le frog will be insinuated
- william dies at least twice
- vyncent dies (he gets better)
- there'll be another shorter timeskip between season 2 and season 3; season 3 takes place over the summer
- vyncent's technology score goes up to only -1 #proud his credit score gets even worse though
- party gets split for several episodes. these episodes coincide with a brief return of ashe winters
- fauna arc take 2
- dakota gets arrested
- milo's character shows up & immediately does the worst dumbest shit possible, cementing them as being truly worthy of being a prime defender, & getting injured in that process
- obviously upp references but the first returning character from there will be a npc, not a former pc
- jade's sister ruby is a minor antagonist
- flying cars are finally actually used. william immediately crashes it into a building
