If you don't mind me askin' but how did Meta, his family and friends find out the lollipops the dark blue knight makes is quite special and different from your average lollipop?
Oh sure, that's no spoiler territory really. It's just a thing he discovered while trying to make something sweet as a kid/tween.
Obviously seeing glowing kids screeching "I CAN'T FEEL PAIN" and yeeting shit at each other is gonna startle the hell out of the local foster father here.
First thing Meta made that wasn't burned to a crisp or set the kitchen on fire. Even Arthur was like "????????" when he tried one because they are freaking delicious too. Has no idea how this child could conjure this shit up. Should have been a glaring sign on top of the teleportation and eye-color change thing thing but alas, Arthur wasn't raised among magicals much.
As for his friends Jecra and Garlude, they learned about it after hanging out with Meta long enough LMAO
They quickly realized why they were his favorite candy.
Probably someone at the GSA suggested making a buttload of these and storming into Nightmare directly but it likely didn't end well. They only last 30 seconds a pop and Nightmare can just play keep away until the effects are gone and then poof you're a goner.
In the current times Meta just makes these when he has the rare ingredients for them and gives them to the kids as a priority (in case he or the other adults can't save them) any spares go to anyone else he feels miiiight need them in a pinch. Kirby usually has one on hand in case, but can sometimes forget to use it because he knows about the scarcity.
I haven't mentioned it in the story and was looking for an opportunity to do so without it being forced in, but I like to think a majority of the ingredients he needs are on Ripple Star, so now with knowing the Fairy Queen personally, he miiiight be able to make more pretty soon here. I think I'll find an opportunity soon, but I'll add that here just in case!
Ah, also there's of course limits on these things, even under invincibility Kirby can still die in the games. Obviously getting crushed, falling into pits, and in this particular AU, Galaxia being all "nyeeehh yoU'rE nOT wORtHy" will override it too, ect, ect.
