It's hard to watch Max after races like this, because while he knows there's nothing else he could have done, he's still not satisfied. He wants to win, but more than that: he wants to RACE. We've seen him before, when even if he doesn't win, he's still so happy that he got to actually battle people on track, like in Hungary and even Silverstone. Today the midfield didn't exactly pose a challenge but he couldn't keep up with Mercedes and Ferrari at all and he HATES it. He's disappointed even when he didn't expect anything else.

I think what some people forget about Alex is that before testing he had never driven an F1 car before and then half way (just over half way) through the season he’s put into an entirely new car with the Red Bull and has very little time to adjust really. And now he’s going into a part of the season where the tracks are all new to him so he’s having to learn his way around a new car and new tracks. It was interesting to hear after the race today he was saying that he still feels like he’s going into the weekend not really knowing anything and having to start again. (I think he said fp1 is sort of like starting again and then fp2, fp3 is where he starts improving through the weekend and then by the race he’s comfortable). So yeah, I haven’t seen anything negative on here towards Alex but cut him some slack. He’s in a new car going to new tracks.
