A/N : Short Bellarke fic where Clarke is basically trying to stay awake long enough to get some studying done. Established Bellarke. Rated T. 353 words.
Clarke sighed as she turned yet another page of the seemingly endless textbook.
“Stupid finals,” she cursed under her breath, grimacing at her empty mug.
A tan hand appeared at her elbow, offering warm coffee with a reverence usually only used in important ceremonies and stuff. God, she needed to sleep.
Smiling, she brought the cup to her smiling lips.
“I know,” her boyfriend smugly answered.
Bellamy was standing at her back, his hands massaging her tense shoulders as he spoke in a low tone.
“How are you holding up ?”
“I think the professors want to kill us.”
He chuckled at the serious tone of her voice.
“I want to sleep so bad,” she muttered, her wide eyes fixed on the papers scattered on her desk.
“I know you do, babe. But you made me promise not to let you fall asleep, whatever you said once you were tired.”
“No, you don’t,” he whispered, his breath suddenly close to her neck. “Is the coffee helping ?” he asked, a teasing quality she recognized all too well in his voice.
“I could use something a bit stronger,” she played along, biting her lower lip in anticipation.
“Really ? And what could that be ?”
He dragged his nose along her neck, depositing a quick kiss on her favorite spot. She felt him smile against her when she gasped.
“That’s pretty good,” she whispered, her eyes closing as he resumed kissing, this time drifting to her shoulder and back. She tilted her head to the side in invitation.
She could still feel his breath on her now feverish skin.
He dropped one last kiss on her cheek and rose back up. Clarke turned around and stared at his proud smile.
“Yep. Shout when you feel sleepy.”
He disappeared back into the hallway without another word.
“I hate you !” she yelled.
Smiling as she heard his deep laughter echo around their tiny apartment, Clarke resumed her reading.
