"I'm so awkward at dances."
Kyle's Outfit to the Event.
A brand new day.
"Oh, you’re a journalist? That’s neat". He walked in and sighed with happiness, "Oh, I love coffee".
"Yeah, it's stressful. My treat since you showed me that cool trick." He walked up to the counter and smiled. "I will have a white mocha and anything my friend here wants."
"Do we know each other? I think I would remember someone as handsome as you.."
"Well, from the back you looked like this guy I ran track with in high school. You're too kind, sorry, I'm all embarrassed now."
A brand new day.
"Fire manipulation and shapeshifting. It’s a weird combo". He walked along side Kyle towards the shop, "I’m Jackson…but you can call me Jax".
"Neat, I don't have a power. Unless you call being able to write for the news, a power." He smiled and held the door open for Jax. "Nice to meet you."
A brand new day.
Jax nodded and grinned, “Of course. Coffee is always a good thing”.
"So is that your power? You can make things?" He asked as he walked towards his favorite coffee shop. "I'm Kyle, by the way."
Story of my life and why I am the way I am. // Kyle & Dallas
"Thank you Kyle." Dallas said expressing his gratitude for the man holding the door open for him. He stepped in and waved to the kind waitress who had been serving him for months now. "Yeah that might be bit of a stretch right?" He chuckled light heartedly as it would take days to recount all of the years he’d spent after from the topside. Not too mention he’d lost about a year or two as he was filled with regret about killing the people who had murdered his family. He smiled at the waitress as she flipped him a mug and poured him a cup of black coffee like he’d first inquired about once he found the cafe. "She knows my order, been coming here for months now." He smiled and shrugged as he slid a ten towards the girl and waved off the change she was going to give him.
Grabbing his cup of coffee, he walked to a booth in the old school diner, thankful for the cushioned seats and sat so that Kyle could sit on the other side of him. “I felt happy… safe I think. My parents were always strong pressed that I never use my gifts outside of our home because they knew what happened to people like me. I remember feeling loved back then. I know that they loved me dearly and despite of my uniqueness, they embraced me openly all the time.” Dallas said swallowing thick as he threw an odd assortment of sugar, sweetener and cream into his coffee before sipping it. “It’s hard to remember that far back now, it seems irrelevant to bring it up now that I’m at peace with what’s happened.” He sighed and smiled, unsure where to go from there.
"I will have the same thing," Kyle told the woman behind the counter. He stood there and looked towards Dallas as they waited and took his cup grateful to have some caffeine. He listened the other's story about how he felt when he was younger as he too went to putting sugar and cream into his coffee. He stirred as he listened more and gave him a nod. "Well, how do you think it has affected you in the way you feel things today?" he asked before taking a sip of his coffee.
"You said sometimes it is hard to understand things people feel?" he asked trying to remember to what had prompted this conversation. "Cause it sounds like you were pretty normal, just excluded from the rest of the world." He set his cup down and chewed over another question. He looked at the male for a long time before he swallowed and asked, "What is your gift?" He was beyond curious about people who had powers. He was a normal person so when he heard people could things he couldn't it instantly made him curious about them.
A brand new day.
Jax took the paper and put it in the palm of his hand. The paper burst into a blue flame, and shaped itself into a small owl. Jax smiled and held his hand out, “See? Magic”.
"Holy shit, that is amazing." Kyle reached out to take the owl and smile at him. "Can I get you a coffee?"
Day off|| Open
"You know I could always drop you" He sighed as he soared through the sky "I don’t have to wear a Mask because I work for the SRD" He chuckled as he landed in the middle of the empty park. When he looked closer he chuckled as he recognized who he was actually saving. Stepping away from him he smiled "Aren’t you that nosey reporter that they tell us to Avoid at all cost?"
"NOPE! Please don't do that," Kyle said in nearly a panic. He did not have a super power so he would just die if he fell. He sighed as they landed in the field and he heard the male say he works for the SRD. "I'm hearing mixed reviews about them," he said smoothing his clothes over. He looked up, shocked to be recognized. "Kyle Lockwood. You're told to keep away from me?" he asked with a giant smile. This was doing wonders for his ego. "Thank you for saving my, by the way. That was the only time an informant has tried to kill me," he said rubbing the back of his neck, still feeling the shock going threw him.

"Thanks, stranger. You been alright?"
A brand new day.
"Hmm, alright. First, what’s your favorite animal, and do you have a a scrap of paper?"
Pulls out a whole pad of paper. "Owl."
"That's how I feel. I wish I were a super now that that thing is running around.
"I agree, I rather it be warm."
"I think we should move then. Where is warmer this time of year?"
A brand new day.
"A magic trick, of course!"
"Ah, that's interesting. You can magic trick me, if you want."
Masked
"That is what I said" His almost robotic voice rang out through the empty room "Let me tell you something, Kyle was it? The SRD is bad and im going to destroy them" He frowned as he began to look through the computers.
"Did I tell you my name?" Kyle wondered as he looked around. He couldn't be sure at this point. "Call me ignorant, isn't what you're doing going to be a major crime? What has the SRD done to you?" he asked, his reporter instinct kicking in.
