I haven’t posted on here in forever because I moved for college and stopped working at Taco Bell but lemme just say, I recently got a job at Freddy’s and it makes me miss TBell so much.

They don’t have a drive thru? I don’t think anyone smokes? Only plays classic rock in the lobby and no music on the line?

Fuck this I wanna be high at work, vaping in the walk in, getting sexually harassed, calling the cops on a crackhead.

What are your thoughts on drive-thru etiquette?

My thoughts on this -

It’s not required, obviously people can do what they want; but if you have a large order, you should go inside. That’s just where my manners fall. I’ll elaborate…

If everyone did that, it would be a complete win-win. People with large/complex orders aren’t trying to yell through an outdated speaker, and your order is far more likely to come out correctly (issues can also be corrected easily, since you’re right there already). People in the kitchen aren’t stressed about throwing together the $50 drive-thru order ASAP, so you’re more likely to get what you want. It would also help keep drive-thru for quick orders and people on the go, as it was originally intended.

Look, I understand that if, let’s say, you have young ones you can’t leave in the car and you don’t feel like messing with the car seat, etc. But I think it would be a nice rule of thumb to go by.

But I’m a bit more cynical than that.

Oh, yes. We all know the dreaded drive-thru hog. Maybe you’re even reading this right now, scoffing…

…maybe you just don’t give a shit about people around you, because fuck ‘em, you’re stressed out. Everyone else can wait because you had a hard day at work. No, don’t worry, I don’t care that I’m literally stuck between cars within the drive-thru curb blockade for 20 minutes when I only ordered 2 items. I have zero resentment in my heart as I see a smiling Taco Bell worker pass 3 stuffed bags of food through the window of your minivan. None of us are dying on the inside as a result of your actions. This is fine. I’m fine.

back to this though, i have an app that beeps really similarly to the headsets when i get messages and it was going crazy one night and i kid u not i had a dream where i was trying to answer the headset and no one was picking up and i was freaking out
