Religions, especially cults like Mormonism, are all about getting you to mistrust yourself and trust middle-men instead so they can tell you what to think and how you should act.

Mormons will talk about unconditional love while being part of a cult that teaches that you will go to hell (separation from your family for eternity) and can refuse to give you a temple recommend (necessary for doing the eternal sealing to your family) if you drink coffee.
And they have a whole list of other culty conditions. Their cult has never been about unconditional love. It has always been a controlling cult.
You have to buy your way into Mormon heaven. No tithing, no temple recommend, no eternal sealing, no eternal family.
Mormon polygamy is generational trauma, but women are healing and speaking up.
The side of my family with polygamist ancestors is also the side with stories of incest. Mormon polygamy was/is disgusting.
3/17/2025 - Come Protest! Stand up to Trump and Protect Democracy - Senator John Curtis is speaking at BYU - 10:00 a.m. Provo Utah- Cougar Blvd and Canyon rd.
Having now seen Wicked and Heretic I would like to submit these parallels for consideration.
I've never seen the Mormon cult (or any other religion for that matter) make people happier.
I've only ever seen it take credit for existing happiness and cause harm.
The "Big Happy Mormon Family" is soooo fake.
My experience with growing up in a big Mormon family is that being in a "big happy Mormon family" causes too much emotional stress.
In my experience, fighting, crying, and not getting enough emotional support was normal. Pressure to appear as a big happy family all the time is the biggest stress. The amount of suppression it takes to never show negativity is insane. It's unhealthy to expect a big family to be happy all the time like that, but it is unfortunately an expectation in a cult like Mormonism.
I had to take care of the younger kids because young children need so much care and attention, but I was doing this at my own cost because I was still a child who needed time and attention too.
Children deserve to be raised by adults who have the time and resources to care for them and support them through ALL emotions, not just happiness.
Everyone deserves to be able to express negative emotions and not be forced to appear happy all the time. https://unpackingmormonism.blogspot.com/2024/11/the-big-happy-mormon-family-is-soooo.html
In Utah county? Tabitha's Way is our local food pantry. They are also collecting items to give away for Christmas up until December 16!

BYU needs to be renamed.
Just a reminder that BYU is named after the white supremacist Mormon prophet Brigham Young. Young taught that black people were inferior to white people and that interracial couples deserved "death on the spot".
Make some noise. Stop making yourself small.
Letting out a feral roar in the car every once in a while has done wonders for my mental health. Highly recommend finding a space to really let it all out once in a while.
If you aren't quite at the roaring stage yet, I recommend starting with a loud swear word. Really shout it.
I'm very disappointment. I think Trump is CREEPY, GROSS, and bad for the economy. I sincerely hope he exceeds my expectations because the bar is in hell.
My journal entries from my time in seminary during highschool make me so sad. They're all about me learning how to make myself feel guilt and shame because of a bunch of fairy tales and stories made up by a con man.
I love how Mormons are like, "of course, there's choices in Mormonism!
It's our way or go to hell for eternity alone.
Go ahead and choose."
The two main parts of Christianity, according to me ( I grew up Mormon).
Number 1: Human Sacrifice - God killed his son because you're a piece of shit.
Number 2: You're a piece of shit - But we love you.
The Mormon "church" is actually a real estate company if you look at what they spend money on.
