So dope.
i literally never get tired of this post
There is nothing courageous, original, or unpopular about being neutral. While that doesnât mean being neutral is wrong, obviously, it does mean that you should be wary of people who paint themselves and their neutrality as morally heroic. Itâs a cheap tactic, a way to puff up your credibility without having to actually demonstrate any knowledge or understanding of the situation. In that way, it has a lot in common with the related tactic of declaring oneself the True Skeptic/Rationalist, unlike oneâs opponent, who is clearly incapable of rational thought, bless their heart. Neutrality becomes a problem when it becomes an excuse for doing nothingâas it often does. We are neutral on the subject of climate change; therefore, we will not commit to researching ways to slow, stop, or cope with it. We are neutral on the subject of abortion; therefore, we will not invite speakers who advocate for reproductive rights. We are neutral on the subject of whether or not our friend raped you as you say they did; therefore, we will not stop inviting our friend to parties, because that would be rude. In fact, weâll stop inviting you, because your outlandish claims are making us uncomfortable.

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year oldâs life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

Now make a Thor version of this please.
I need this because of reasons.
I think itâs time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women And if we donât weâll have a race of babies That will hate the ladies, that make the babies And since a man canât make one He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one

This is beautiful.
By feeding patients increasing macabre concoctionsâhalf a pound of chicken liver, half-cooked hamburgers, raw hog stomach, and even once the regurgitated gastric juices of one of his students (spiced up with butter, lemon, and parsley)âMinot and his team of researchers conclusively demonstrated in 1926 that pernicious anemia was caused by the lack of a critical micronutrient, a single molecule later identified as vitamin B12.

There is a lake in Tanzania with a pH level so toxic, it essentially turns any animal that touches it into stone. Photographer Nick Brandt captures the horrific beauty of these petrified animals in his book Across the Ravaged Land.

But this question â âHow much should an online crowd know about itself?â â turns out to be among the biggest design challenges for anyone trying to harness collective thinking. The trick is to encourage people to join in but also to think for themselves.
