Her nails are caught somewhere between long, sharp human nails & something like animal “claws,” the moment she stops maintaining them.
Index & middle finger-nails are the most well-maintained, because they’re the most “visible” and used digits upon a humanoid hand.
All of her “outer” nails, as in, nails facing “outward” from the radial center of her hands, have more wear on them, because she has a compulsive habit of clasping and pulling and toying with and crushing at her own digits when she is restless or displeased or deep in consideration….
Her pinky-nails are the least maintained and so you can see them pulling off and “up” the finger and bed of the nail, becoming visibly more like claws. Her thumb-nails are among the most maintained but also the most stubborn, and so you can see where repetitive filing has bitten visibly into & worn the keratin which keeps stubbornly developing toward something less human than she’d like.
There are spots of livor mortis all over little concavities and bends in her digits, because circulation of fluid is at its worst in her digits, and she has no heartbeat at all. You can sometimes see little bits of powder—
Where she has tried to cover up the visible livor mortis or signs of bacteria or insects gnawing at her flesh when she’s dormant in the daytime.
She has long, graceful hands of the kind you’d expect to see on a piano-player. The tendons are very defined and stand-out, nearly masculine, but the boning is gracile, very feminine….
The veins of her hands don’t “protrude” at all because she has no blood-pressure, but they’re atrociously dark and mottled, slightly hideous, really, which is one more reason her hands often have powder clinging to them.
Her hands have a contradictory mix of velvety soft, almost clammy skin, along with the degrading remnants of callous upon callous upon callous, especially round the phalanges.
