۩ —– “Hopefully.” she deadpanned, the grin on the mans face causing her to smile. It was interesting to meet someone that seemed to have a certain thirst for blood about him, and while Elyse understood that it was probably something that had been imposed upon him due to the fact that they were in the middle of a war, she liked to think that every man had some sort of primal instinct about them - this one - being no different.
She understood that the way she’d made things sound, upon speaking to him about her lack of ability to tell him about what she felt about the whole thing, would make her seem ‘fishy’ in a sense, but it wasn’t until he spoke up and said what he did that a grin broke out on her face. He obviously felt the same way that she did about the Lions of Casterly rock, and if she could get rid of them with the snap of a finger, she would - but alas she couldn’t - that wasn’t how war worked.
“I’m happy to know that someone else feels the same way that I do about these… People that are on the throne.” the brunette mused, humming ever so slightly as she eyed him up.
🐙– - – No Northerner had any love for the Lannisters after what they had done to the Starks and their own families. They made enemies left and right, which Theon considered a good thing. He would bet that others saw it the same way he did. Yet so few spoke openly of their distaste for the lions when they weren't in their cups or about to ride against them. It felt nice to have someone who did not care to keep their tongue guarded as far as this topic was concerned.
Theon snorted, eyes alight with amusement. “Calling them people is too kind, don't you think?” he responded, glancing back at her as well. Seeing her eye him up he adjusted his stance to stand just a little taller, shoulders squared and chest puffed out enough to be noticeable. The amused smile turned into something far more smug and Theon turned his gaze back to the Red Keep in the distance. “I can't believe they think they will win this war. Even the Targaryens had more sense.” just barely.
