just to clarify if you’ve seen my last posts, i don’t mean to send out negative energy towards the entirety of the smosh fandom. i know it’s filled with a bunch of chill people.
i’ve been very on edge with them lately tho and frustrated due to many people’s parasocial obsessions with the cast’s personal lives.
i was there for everything on smoshblr when the whole damien discourse went down and it was just so exhausting and mind boggling that people can feel this entitled to someone’s personal life, even though they don’t know them! i literally had blogs get in contact with me about it (i was on a different account then, literally had to delete my account to escape the tomfoolery and leave everything behind)! it was the most wild thing ever and so when i see blogs talk about angela or anthony i get flashbacks to the discourse from last year.
i see and notice many parallels between the two situations as well, and knowing how it ended last time… well… these blogs who keep pushing on with this parasocial shit better relax. that’s all i’ll say.
these people are not our friends, they do not owe us anything, they do not owe us access to their private lives. they are here to entertain us and make us laugh.
crossing boundaries with the cast ruins it for everyone! no fan wants to hear about how their favorite cast members don’t even feel safe with the fandom because of things like stalking and… contacting people that they’re close with to get information? what is even going on here?
we all need to relax and remember that who the cast is with is none of our business. it’s not like we had a chance anyways guys, lets be serious here.
obviously i blocked all the blogs who are doing this, but i felt it was necessary to put out there because i didn’t want people to think that i was just complaining and bitching for no reason. theres lore behind ts🙏🏾
