You ever see a concept that you love so much that you feel bad knowing you can't come up with your own version of it?

Like, this is all I'll think about when I think of this concept, but I can never draw it, for it does not belong to me, and I will forever mourn my lack of creativity.

Bro this is literally just Schlatt+kaboodle fusion in bender form, no need to go Shakespeare on humbling yourself.

I don’t think lack of creativity is an actual problem, it’s more like self-loathing could potentially stops you from creating / getting confidence / digesting negative feedback into constructive criticism.

Like seeing one version of said character doesn’t physically stop you from renewing the concept.

You can just look at some really cool redesigns & arts and remember it in the back of your mind, then go on draw a very rough sketch that has some of your favorite trait or cliche, that’s how I usually freeballing characters design.

Also finds a lot references, it helps A LOT with any early design development.

And I’m sure fans of JP/KR and other countries’s dubs would be hella confused to see this Schlaboodle design because they’ll be like “Why is he having a mutton chops?” Without knowing who Schlatt is.
