I have really been thinking a lot abt how it is always more comfortable to me to live in a building where many many people have lived before, to buy clothes that belonged to someone else, to stand on ground where others have walked millions of times. It has always been very disconcerting to live in a new building. I don’t want to be anywhere where no one has been before, I want to be where many many many people have lived & I think that is the really eerie thing abt the usa, the “newness” of it all. I don’t know what it is that makes me feel so strongly this way about everything

This was my second time shooting with this film stock and although it came out better than the first time (I may share a few of those shots later), I still haven't figured out the best opportunity to really take advantage of that beautiful blue purple hue.

It is coming up on the 2 year anniverary since my fiance and I moved into our...quirky? 1970's apartment. It's pretty outdated with mirrored walls, bifold doors for the bathroom, and a kitchen with crumbling cabinets.
As much as I dream about having a fresh new kitchen, looking at these photos reminds me to appreciate the charm that I have now. When we get inundated by geese in the Spring and see their little goslings in the nests, the ponds that flow through the complex and the frogs that live in them, and the skylights that let in natural light throughout the day. Right now is what we've worked so hard for.
