i’ve been wanting to practice more digital art and rendering but i find it a lot more daunting than traditional art. today i tried a simple drawing without any line art. she’s not perfect but it was so much fun to try
you wished you hadn't said it. everything was so good before you did. it felt real and you were happy.
ellie's gaze turned cold in an instant. she froze in place, sitting at the edge of her bed. even though she didn't move, her expression shifted. ellie's eyes no longer searched yours, instead fixed to the floorboards of her bedroom. you could feel the electricity charged in the air as every muscle in ellie's body tightened. she was pissed.
"we had an agreement." ellie's tone was almost as cold as her body language.
you couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh. "an agr--are you fucking serious right now?"
it was ellie's turn to laugh now. she wiped a hand over her face, shaking her head in disbelief. "i--yeah."
ellie pushed herself off of the bed, spinning around on her heel to finally meet your eyes. her expression softened as she leaned back against the dresser, fidgeting with her fingers. "i told you from the beginning i wasn't--i'm not ready for anything serious right now. you agreed to--"
you stood up abruptly from the bed, shaking your head. "no, that--" you took a small step back in disbelief. "you can't stand here and tell me that all this time... to you we've been... casual."
you looked up at ellie, but her gaze had already shifted. she stood there silently, staring at the floor once again as your stomach churned. suddenly and all at once, you felt your entire world start to crack and crumble around you. all the excuses and warnings you chose to overlook had finally caught up, and the illusion you chose to believe was no longer.
"ellie--i practically live here already. i have two drawers in your dresser, i've met your family--we were planning a trip california--!"
"i know, okay!" ellie's voice rose quickly to cut you off. "i know, we've been... doing shit together. and don't get me wrong, i've been having fun, but my ex--"
you scoff in disbelief. "i don't give a fuck about your bullshit excuses, ellie." you snap. "i'm not asking you to propose, or move across the country with me. i told you i loved you."
ellie visibly winced. you stared at ellie, your mind brewing a storm of defeat and paranoia as the two of you stood at a stalemate of uncomfortable silence. ellie was the one to break it.
"i care for you deeply--"
"oh, fuck that--do you love me?"
the following silence was worse than the last. your chest grew tight as you watched ellie's eyes slowly water as they met yours. as you tried to take a breath, you felt an all too familiar tingle in your throat. your vision blurred as you stood before ellie, helpless.
"i'm sorry." was ellie's response.
"you're sorry." you repeated softly. the tears started falling off your cheeks as your gaze lowered in defeat.
"i am... i tried being upfront from the start. i didn't want to hurt you." was ellie's attempt at cleaning up her mess. but it didn't fix your broken spirit. how could it?
you nodded slowly in understanding before silently turning away from ellie. she couldn't do anything but watch as you disappeared from her view, leaving ellie for the last time without a word.
you entered your home a different person than you'd last left it. though nothing had changed, everything was different. even the air surrounding the environment was different, and it made you feel suffocated. the silence was buzzing too loud and the emptiness was crowding.
you crossed the room to slowly crack your bedroom door, flicking on the lights. your eyes snapped to the scrapbook sitting plainly on your nightstand, taunting your stare. like a moth to a flame, you approach the nighstand and sit on the edge of the mattress. your hands tremble as you reach for it, your stomach churning once more.
slowly, you open the hard cover, sliding the pages open to the first entry. on the page is a worn sticky note taped in place. your chest tightens as you observe the scribbly drawing. you stared down at a small doodle of yourself, drawn so carefully by ellie.
you remembered the day clear as day. ellie had been pestering you all night to see you. no matter how many times you told her no, that you had to study, she was relentless. she came to see you anyway--claimed she wouldn't sleep if she didn't--and insisted she was a capable study partner. as the hour grew late, you felt a small poke against your arm. ellie had the goofiest grin on her face as she showed her drawing. you didn't do any more studying that night, but you didn't do any sleeping either.
you flipped over to the next page and your stomach dropped through the floor. you stared down at the small receipt paper glued down so innocently, tears surfacing your eyes. the beginning of it all--your drink receipt from the night you met ellie.
you couldn't stop your actions that followed. you couldn't contain the rush of emotions breaking the surface all at once. in that present moment, you felt humiliation, regret, anger, sorrow, and pain. you wanted nothing more than to bury the memory of ellie alive and then set it ablaze.
acting on impulse, you grab the page and tear it from the spine, the sound of ripping paper chiming in your ears. you crumple the page and shred it, letting it fall to the floor. you rip the next page, then the next, until the entire book had been torn and ripped apart and you sat on a throne of old memories and dreams.
you sniffle sadly as you wipe the last of your tears, standing up. silently, you gather up the disaster around you. scooping and sweeping, you place it all together in an old shoebox.
you step outside, escorting your lover's remains to their final resting place. striking a match, you stood watching as it fell to the earth. the fire spread quickly, engulfing all the paper until a small pile of ash remained.
you were glad you said it, because you weren't happy. you were in love, but not happy, and now it is done.
holy hell guys, i finally finished this fuck ass series. i truly did intend to finish this sooner. i can't say i didn't try, but this year has been relentless on me. my home was sold, followed by my dad returning to his home country, follow by putting my childhood dog to sleep. every time i tried to sit down and write, my life was once again changing, and i couldn't find the conclusion to this story.
however, i took an edible, watched wicked for good, came home to my apartment, curled up beside my cat, and finally found the words for the conclusion. i hope you enjoyed reading it as much as i enjoyed writing it. your kind words and patience really does warm my heart, and i'm excited to find inspiration for the next story.
i don’t usually do new year’s resolutions because i know i won’t stick to them so it feels like a waste, but i always set small personal goals for myself throughout the year. so this time i wanted to try.
in addition to writing and reading more (i’ve already finished one book this year so i’m one up on last year ¬‿¬), one of my resolutions is to try and draw more.
one thing about me is i love to draw and experiment with creating pictures. another thing about me is i quit very easily when the image in my head doesn’t translate to the paper.
but i love art! and the only way to improve is to actually try! one day i would like to gain the courage to put it out in the world because there are so many talented artists on here that inspire me!!
warnings: whisper of angst, touch of nsfw (fingering r!receiving), heavy lesbianism
your nights were peaceful before ellie. the tv cast a dim glow across your resting face. curled up under the covers, your chest steadily rose and fell in sync with the chirping cicadas outside your window. amidst the serenity and safety in the mundane, a blaring bell accompanied by an even brighter light suffocated the room. eyes slowly fluttering open, your eyebrows knit together in your groggy state. your head felt 100 pounds heavier when you lifted it from the pillow, hair pressed and stuck to the side of your cheek. the world felt so blurry you couldn’t even be certain you weren’t dreaming still. squinting, you stared down at your phone as you tried to will your eyes to come back to focus.
u up?
miss u baby :(
every last shred of common sense in you was screaming at you to just go back to sleep. you knew messaging her back would lead you to another string of bad decisions that always ended with you naked on her couch. but even through the confusion and daze of your half awake state, your heart was doing the same thing it always does when ellie is around. so you do what you always do when she messages you in the dead of night.
20 minutes later you were outside the door to her apartment, gently brushing your knuckles against the door. you smiled to yourself as you heard shuffling inside, imagining ellie scramble around to tidy the apartment for you. moments later, the door swung open and a warm feeling spread through your chest. ellie’s auburn hair was pulled back into a loose bun, a few stray hairs falling in front of her face. she wasn’t wearing anything special—a faded hoodie over her chest and baggy sweatpants hanging off her hips. but you couldn’t help but swoon at how domestic she looked. a goofy grin spread across her lips as she stepped aside for you to enter the small apartment.
you’d barely slipped your shoes off before her arms were snaked around your waist and lips were planted against the side of your neck. “fuck—you always smell so good…” ellie’s neck craned as she attempted to burrow her face into your hair.
you only managed a lazy smile, your eyelids barely open. you tipped your head to lean against hers, a soft exhale escaping your lips. ellie didn’t bother to move, her fingers drawing light shapes against your sides. propping her chin against your shoulder, ellie turned her head to fully look at your face. when the context clues of your dark eye bags, droopy eyelids, and lethargic movements, a small smirk lifted at the corners of her mouth.
“let’s go lay down, yeah?” ellie’s voice felt smooth like honey. hands drifting down to your hips, ellie shuffled you down the narrow hallway to her bedroom. as the door swung open and her mattress now in view, you wanted nothing more than to collapse into a pile of jello. you trudged forward, sitting down on the edge of the bed. ellie quickly rushed to your side, peeling the blanket back to allow you an opening. Once you’d slipped under the warm covers, ellie pulled the blanket over your shoulder, remembering the way you’d tug it up to your chin every single night. it was ellie’s turn to slide into the bed now, her arms finding their way back to your waist. you couldn’t stop the smile tugging at your lips when you felt her tucked up against your back, nuzzling into your neck yet again.
“i even made my bed just for you today…” ellie murmurs into your skin. your eyes flutter closed as you feel her breath tickling against her skin. ellie’s hands find your hips, pulling you flush against her.
“i noticed.” you mumble lazily in response. ellie can’t help but smile. planting a soft kiss to your temple, she slowly sinks further into the mattress, feeling your consciousness slowly slip through her fingers.
the next morning was warm and still. through the blinds shone cracks of sunlight, prying past your closed eyelids. through a rapid flutter, the warmth of the sun spread across your face, warming your senses awake.
like a halo, the sun shined with a ring of glow through ellie’s skin. her freckles sparkled over the soft pink on her cheeks and across the bridge of her nose. you never thought you would find beauty from the rise and fall of her chest.
you watched as ellie turned her head, a stream of light aligning to her eyelids. a soft groan vibrated from her lips as her eyebrows knit together. you couldn’t help but smile as ellie fussed for a small moment as she joined you in time.
ellie’s dark eyelashes parted as her bright eyes shimmered up at you. a lazy smirk slowly spread across her lips as her vision began to focus. “you watchin’ me sleep?”
“maybe i am…”
“you’re weird…” ellie’s arm loops around your waist, pulling your hips up against hers. she dips her head down, lips brushing against your shoulder. you can’t even muster up the energy to protest. you didn’t want to. not when her lips felt to sweet on your skin and her fingertips so warm on your waist. your eyelids involuntarily shut, gravity pulling your head back.
ellie loved the way you acted in the morning. most people in your life don’t enjoy interacting with you in the early hours of the day. ellie became the only exception. she noticed that so long as she was sweet and gave you ample time to lay in bed before getting up, you were much calmer to start the day. this made it easier to ask things of you.
propping her chin up on your shoulder, ellie let a soft sigh escape her lips. your eyebrows raised in response. “why the heavy sigh?”
ellie pursed her lips and shifted her eyes to angle down towards you. “it’s kind of dumb…” she took a beat before speaking again. “every year, joel takes me on this trip. he took me to see his ranch in texas one summer and now it’s kind of like our dumb tradition…” as ellie continued explaining, her voice grew smaller. you watched as her eyes slowly shifted away from yours and her cheeks darkened from embarrassment.
you offer her a small smile in return. you weren’t sure why she felt so embarrassed about telling you this. in all honesty, it sounded endearing. ellie seemed so fond of joel every time she talked about him. you wondered if maybe the memory made her feel vulnerable or someone had poked fun at it in her past.
ellie took a small breath before looking up at you. “you don’t have to agree but he’d kill me if i didn’t ask.”
you felt your heart stop beating for a split second. you blink in surprise, your eyes noticeably wider. “…he wants me to go?”
“you don’t have to—“
“no, i want to.”
it was ellie’s turn to be blindsided. “…you do?”
you can’t help but laugh. “yeah…”
“it… kind of sucks. he just makes you do hard labour the whole time…”
“you said he used to take you by the lake and had campfires every night.”
ellie lets out a snort. “yeah, after he makes you shovel manure in the sun all day.”
you laugh in response. ellie’s lips spread into a small smile as she simply holds you in her arms. you sounded so happy at the idea of going. maybe the stories she’d told you of her summers spent on the ranch didn’t help (or the countless ways she told you how much fun she had). ellie let out a small breath before speaking again. “if you want to come then i’d be really happy to have you there.”
your expression softened as you looked at ellie. “really?”
ellie smiled softly. “really.”
two weeks later, you and ellie pulled into joel’s driveway. driveway was generous—it was a path of dirt that had been shovelled in front of the farmhouse. ellie glanced over at you curled up in the passenger’s seat of her car. a small smile crept across her lips as she saw you still asleep, your headphones pushed forward on your forehead. reaching over, she gently shook your arm. “hey… we’re here…” her voice was soft and gentle.
your eyebrows furrowed together as you came to your sense. you slowly opened your eyes, adjusting to your surroundings. you looked ahead and caught sight of the farmhouse. the first thing you noticed was the porch that was warmly lit by the light right beside the door. wind chimes blew in the evening air above a small bench. beside the bench you saw a dimly lit figure swaying in a rocking chair.
ellie let out a small huff. “of course he’s waiting on the porch…” she grumbles under her breath.
you smile softly, stretching your limbs out in your seat. “it’s sweet…”
“he’s up to something.”
you roll your eyes. “or maybe he’s just happy to see you.’
ellie scoffs. “you don’t know him like i do…”
ellie pushes the car door open, stepping out on to the dirt and gravel. you let out a breath of disbelief before shaking it off. you swing the door open and step out of the car. the fresh country air hit your lungs as the sunset kissed your skin. you walked around to the trunk, joining ellie to retrieving your bags. the two of you trudged up the crunchy path, climbing up the steps approaching the wooden porch.
as you came closer, the quiet melody of guitar strings humming greeted you. joel was a man who looked like texas. he wore a faded grey flannel buttoned up, washed out blue jeans, and a pair of worn cowboy boots. he had a few wrinkles peeking out of his peppered beard, but his eyes were warm like the evening sun. as the two of you walked up the porch steps, joel had set down the guitar and stood up to greet you. he was quite a bit taller than ellie, bending over slightly to meet her in a hug. “good to see ya, kiddo…” his voice was almost as smooth as ellie’s—the only difference was the southern twang and lower octave.
as joel pulled back, his eyes met yours. he stepped forward, holding a calloused hand out to you. “i’m joel—it’s a pleasure to finally meet ya.” which earned a small huff from ellie. you stepped up to shake joel’s hand, giving ellie a sideways glance saying,
what is your problem?
“i’ve heard good things.” you give joel a small smile before releasing his hand. you glance at ellie from the corner of your eye and you can see a small look of guilt on her face before she washes it clean.
“hope you guys are hungry after the drive,” joel interrupts. “i’ve got some meat on the grill.”
ellie lets out a quiet breath before nodding. “yeah… sounds good.”
joel left the two of you to unpack in the guest room while he finished preparing his spread
“what’s up with you?” you pressed ellie as she shut the door behind you.
“nothing.” she murmured, folding open her suitcase.
“seriously, ellie, you’ve been nothing but rude since we got here.”
“i’m not being rude—“
“you are.”
“i’m not.” ellie shot back defensively, a small scowl tugging at the corners of her lips.
“…do you not want me here?”
“what?” ellie blinked in surprise before quickly averting her gaze. “no—that’s not…” she sighed and shook her head, folding a t-shirt into the dresser drawer.
“then what’s wrong?” a sad frown spread across your face as you took a tentative step towards her.
ellie dragged her fingers through her hair before finally meeting your gaze. “nothing is wrong. joel just… he gets so invasive and pushy sometimes, always wanting to know every detail about every part of my life.”
“is that… a bad thing?”
ellie lets out a small huff, digging her shoes into the worn wooden floorboards. “it just… it gets annoying sometimes. not everything is… something. but to him it is.”
a small pang of disappointment twists in your stomach.
did she mean you? were you the something that was really nothing?
ellie reached out, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. her expression softened as her fingertips brushed over your cheek. “it was a long drive. i’m just too tired to deal with his endless questions.”
reluctantly, you force a small smile on your face. maybe it was all in your head. maybe the awkward tension in the air had nothing to do with you at all. maybe ellie was finally coming around. maybe she changed her mind.
“how was the drive up?” joel was the first to break the awkward silence at dinner.
“it was good.” ellie murmured between bites of charred meat. the tension in the air was almost as tough as the meat joel served for dinner. almost. in an attempt to save this painstakingly awkward dinner (and the rest of the weekend), you piped up beside ellie.
“your ranch is beautiful.” you offered joel a warm smile to soften his somber expression. “i always wanted a house with a porch.”
“wait ’til ya see the horses.” you immediately perk up, whipping your head to look at ellie. she didn’t even have to look up to know exactly the look you were giving her.
you didn’t tell me he had horses!
dinner was a lot more lively after this revelation. joel fondly recalled all the summers he’d spent with ellie on the very property—followed by some grumbles of embarrassment from ellie. eventually, the three of you finished eating and joel was already clearing the plates when he nudged ellie to show you to the stables. not having much of a choice, ellie led you out the back porch and to a wooden barn worn and tall like the oak trees lining the property. the two of you stepped inside, shoes crunching against the dust and straw littered floor.
there were two horses in their respective stables. the first was a warm chestnut colour with a white stripe that ran vertically from its forehead down to the muzzle. the second horse was a much darker shade of brown, its glossy coat shimmering in the night light. ellie approached the first horse, her expression softening as she reached out to stroke its muzzle.
“hey, shimmer…” she cooed softly as the horse nuzzled into her open palm. you can’t help but smile as you watch, leaning against the gate.
“is this one yours?”
ellie turned her head to meet your gaze, a small smile on her face. “more or less.”
“and the other?”
ellie smirked. “old beardy.”
“old beardy?”
“cute, right?”
you let out a small laugh, shaking your head in disbelief. the smirk on ellie’s lips never fades. “you ever ridden one before?”
as the moon rose in the sky, ellie hooked a boot through the stirrup hanging down the side of shimmer’s saddle. in a swift motion, she grabbed the horn and hoisted herself up on the saddle, sliding forward in the seat. she grinned down at you, holding out a hand. “here… i’ll help ya.”
you took ellie’s hand and climbed up just as she had, minus the grace and twice as awkward. she flashed you a grin over her shoulder as you snaked your arms around her waist, your chest pressed snugly into her back.
“ready?” ellie checked as she held on to the reins. you gave a hesitant nod, which made her snicker. “i’ll go slow.” she assured you with a small pat to your knee before shimmer began to walk forward.
as you adjusted to the new experience, shimmer’s leisurely walking pace eased into a trot, then a canter. you held on to ellie as she led shimmer through pastures and between tall trees, the cool air sliding over your cheeks.
“you still alive back there?” ellie asked over her shoulder.
you let out a breathy laugh. “just taking it all in.”
ellie hummed in acknowledgment. the city was nice. it was hard to feel alone with so much bustling bodies and bright lights, but nothing could measure up to the country air. it was clean and fresh, the stars and moon shined brighter than you thought possible. it was hard to keep yourself from imagining a simple life out here. a small cabin in the woods, the smell of fresh bread in the air, the warm summer sun blooming roses, marigolds, and touch-me-nots. just as you were envisioning ellie coming home to kiss you after a long day apart, shimmer slowed to a halt in the grass. you pulled yourself from your fantasy as ellie dismounted the horse. she grinned up at you from the ground, holding out her hand once more.
“m’lady…” ellie drawled as she helped you down on to the ground. she tied shimmer up to a tree standing tall, turning to the open body of water ahead. with a small breath, she began to peel off her jacket and untie her boots. your eyebrows furrowed as you watched her.
“what’cha doin’?”
“going for a swim.” ellie grinned, pulling off her jeans and t-shirt next. “you comin’?”
a small, incredulous smile spread over your face as you followed suit, leaving yourself bare before ellie. once you had rid yourself of all the fabric left on your body, ellie stepped forward, a hand wrapped around your bare waist. “you’re so beautiful…” she murmured into your neck, leaving goosebumps over your skin. letting out a soft breath, you tilted your head back, slowly closing your eyes as ellie planted kiss after kiss down the side of your neck. just as you’d let your guard down, you felt ellie smirk against your collarbone. she planted one last kiss to your shoulder before she grabbed your hips and in one swift motion, hoisted you off the ground, hurling you into the freezing lake. breaking the surface of the icy water, you coughed and sputtered in time with ellie’s loud chortles.
“what is wrong with you?!” you shouted back to land as ellie clutched her sides through gasps of air.
“i’m sorry—i couldn’t help myself.” she giggled to herself before jumping in to join you. once she remerged, hair sticking to the sides of her neck, ellie flashed you another grin, pulling your waist in as she treaded water.
you couldn’t keep the disapproving glare for long as ellie reattached her lips to your neck. “i’m so glad you came…” she whispered between kisses. your annoyance quickly dissipated as the two of you huddled together for warmth, ellie’s lips growing hungrier as the travelled down your neck. she hooked a hand under your thigh, hoisting your leg over her hip as her kisses transformed from soft and sweet to desperate and sloppy, migrating down your chest.
a soft gasp escaped your lips as she pushed a finger through your folds, slipping smoothy inside your velvet walls. biting your lip, you held on to her shoulders as she inserted another finger, pumping in and out of your warm heat. a soft moan escaped your lips as her slender digits curled up and pushed into the spongy button of pleasure. ellie smirked knowing she had you exactly where she wanted. “that’s it…” she coaxed, pressing the pad of her thumb into your throbbing clit.
she dipped her head down to lavish your breast as her hand worked diligently to keep those pretty whimpers and moans flooding out of your mouth. ellie felt you leg squeeze around her tighter, signalling your impending finale. she doubled her efforts, scratching up into your sweet spot as your breaths grew fast and shallow. “c’mon, baby… you know what i want.” ellie murmured against your skin, rubbing small, firm circles into your mound. your vision started to grow fuzzy as you ground your hips desperately down on her hand. the once frigid water felt soothingly warm as the invisible twine snapped inside you, a heavy groan bubbling from your belly.
ellie’s arms tightened around you as you collapsed on to her shoulder, panting heavily. her hand rubbed up and down your spine as your muscles grew limp and tired, pressing in to her bare skin as she kept you from drifting away. ellie planted a small kiss to your shoulder, holding you in silence as she patiently waited for you to descend from the heavens to join her back on earth. your breathing eventually evened out and you found her staring down at you, a goofy grin spread wide across her face.
“what?”
“i knew it was a good idea to bring you with me.”

through the blinds shone cracks of sunlight, prying past your closed eyelids. through a rapid flutter, the warmth of the sun spread across your face, warming your senses awake.
like a halo, the sun shined with a ring of glow through ellie’s skin. her freckles sparkled over the soft pink on her cheeks and across the bridge of her nose. you never thought you would find beauty from the rise and fall of her chest.
you watched as ellie turned her head, a stream of light aligning to her eyelids. a soft groan vibrated from her lips as her eyebrows knit together. you couldn’t help but smile as ellie fussed for a small moment as she joined you in time.
ellie’s dark eyelashes parted as her bright eyes shimmered up at you. a lazy smirk slowly spread across her lips as her vision soon focuses.
“every year, joel takes me on this trip. he took me to see his ranch in texas one summer and now it’s kind of like our dumb tradition…” as ellie continued explaining, her voice grew smaller. you watched as her eyes slowly shifted away from yours, her cheeks darkening.
you offer her a small smile in return. you weren’t sure why she felt so embarrassed about telling you this. in all honesty, it sounded endearing. ellie seemed so fond of joel every time she talked about him. you wondered if maybe the memory made her feel vulnerable or someone had poked fun at it in her past.
ellie took a small breath before looking up at you.
“yeah, after he makes you shovel horse shit in the scorching sun all day.”
you laugh in response. ellie’s lips spread into a small smile as she simply holds you in her arms. you sounded so happy at the idea of going. maybe the stories she’d told you of her summers spent on the ranch didn’t help (or the countless ways she told you how much fun she had). ellie let out a small breath before speaking again. “if you want to come then i’d be really happy to have you there.”
your expression softened as you looked at ellie. “really?”
ellie smiled softly in return. “really.”

"corner!”
the searing heat of the kitchen bore down heavily on abby’s skin. beads of sweat accumulated above her brow as she stood over the burning flames of the stovetop. abby reached down and grabbed a fistful of linen, pulling the black fabric over her face as she wiped the sweat on to the apron. she grabbed a pair of tongs and squeezed the sizzling sirloin between its metal teeth. plucking the strip from the crackling pan, abby carefully laid the meat above its bed of potatoes. her calloused fingers gently pinched the leafy garnish, sprinkling the last element over the dish. lifting the final product in to the window, she slid the plate under the warmth of the heat lamps and called for reinforcements.
“sirloin, mid rare, up!”
through the distant buzz of the kitchen, abby’s voice cuts clearly to the small group of servers clustered together beside the computer.
“fuck—i still have to ring in my 10 top…”
“you couldn’t have done that while you were standing here talking to me?”
“i can’t do two things at once!”
“so talking shit about the new girl took precedence?”
“she’s giving me the worst tables!”
“i’m sure she’s not doing it on purpose.”
“do you think she knows i slept with lucas?”
“lu—the bartender lucas?”
“…maybe.”
“why?”
“i’m literally just a girl.”
“paige—“
“can you just go run my food please?”
“i always run your food.”
“and you’re getting so good at it.”
“now i want to watch you drown.”
“please! i’ll do your side work tonight!”
“…fine.”
you swing the kitchen doors open. in the window under the heat lamps sat the sirloin, steam curling up into the hazy kitchen. you approached the window, fingers curling around the scalding plate.
“fuck—“ you hissed in pain, clutching your throbbing fingers.
“careful, it’s hot.” peering through the crack of the window were an unmistakable pair of blue eyes.
you roll your eyes, scoffing slightly. “thanks,” covering your palm with your apron, you grab the plate from the window, “didn’t notice.”
you could practically envision the smug smirk on her lips as you pushed through the kitchen doors and reentered the dining room. for someone who is only mediocre at their job, abby had a huge ego that she bore proudly on her chest. and it really pisses you off.
putting your fake smile back on your face, you approach paige’s table. “hi, your server is a little caught up right now but i have a sirl—“
“ah, finally!” a middle aged man barks condescendingly sweet.
you chuckle dryly, setting the plate down on the table. “sorry for the wait.”
“mm… apology accepted, doll.” his slimy tongue darted out to wet his thin lips.
you let out another laugh of discomfort. “can i get you anything else—“
“what the fuck is this?” like a flip had been switched off, the man’s smirk had been wiped clean off his face. his skin wrinkled across his forehead, spreading to the corners of his mouth.
“…i’m sorry, sir, what’s wrong with it?” you smiled as if taken hostage. you’d do anything—say anything, just to get away from this table.
“i ordered a side of broccoli, this is asparagus.”
“okay, i can take it back to the kitchen and have them—“
“no.” his hand grips your wrist as you reach for the plate. his small beady eyes glared through your skull, piercing like a laser. “i’m not waiting again for something that should’ve been right the first time. seriously—how fucking hard is it to do your job?!”
at this point, it felt like the world had suddenly stopped. you could no longer hear the faint chatter and clattering of the dining room. the only noise was the blood pushing through your ears and the pounding of your heart.
the man huffs in frustration, pushing your wrist away like a toddler throwing his toys. “i’ll fucking eat this garbage.”
you blink in disbelief, frozen in place.
what the fuck am i even supposed to say to that?
you force a small smile and take a small step back. “…enjoy your meal.” your voice comes out small and weak. you turn away before he can even come up with another insulting response, your body trembling. your legs shakily carry you through the dining room, heading towards the back of the restaurant.
you feel insulted and humiliated, but most of all, frustrated. it wasn’t even your table and you were the one who got berated in front of the whole restaurant. which wasn’t even your fault. you weren’t the idiot in the kitchen who fucked up the side, yet you were the one who took the beating.
as you rounded the corner, pushing into the kitchen, you feel the ice bucket of abby anderson crashing into you. you stumble to the side as her shoulder jabs your jaw.
“jesus—watch where yo—“
“oh, fuck off.” you snap, pushing past her. you reach out and swing the door to the walk in fridge open, storming inside and slamming the door shut behind you.
what a fucking dick. that guy was such a fucking dick. i should fucking quit this job—i can’t do this anymore. fuck that guy. and fuck abby anderson. fucking making my night worse. making me burn my hand on that plate. fucking up that dish. making that man angry. fuck abby anderson!
“AAAAAGH!!” you release the huge ball of air trapped inside your chest, tugging at the roots of your hair.
click.
“you know, the door isn’t sound proof.”
you turn around, finding abby staring down at you, arms crossed over her chest. you scoff in disbelief, rolling your eyes.
“i don’t have the patience to deal with your bullshit right now, abby.”
“okay, what the fuck is your problem?”
“i just got fucking yelled at by a guest over something that wasn’t even my fault and then you fucking followed me in here and to make my night fucking worse.“
abby shoots you a look somewhere between disgust disbelief. “okay—fucking relax.”
you can’t help but laugh. “‘relax’?!”
“yeah, you just ran into me—“
“you ran into me—“
it’s abby’s turn to roll her eyes. “doesn’t matter—“
“it does, actually.”
“oh my fucking goddd… seriously dude, what the fuck is all the way up your ass tonight?”
“you, abby! because you can’t do your fucking job, i have to take the beatings for it! i’m so fucking sick of it! you and your goddamn ego stomp around like you run this fucking restaurant. but your fucking lizard brain can’t distinguish between broccoli and asparagus? is that really too fucking hard for you? you’re pathetic! it’s embarrassing—sad, even.”
abby eyebrows furrow in disbelief. she can feel her cheeks practically reddening in surprise and humiliation. this was not at all what she’d anticipate would happen from following you in here. she felt shameful and naive, but she scowled through it.
“okay, woah—you’ve never made a mistake before?” abby huffs condescendingly.
you glare up at her in disbelief. “i’m—“ you grind your teeth together, stepping towards her. “—not saying that. i’m just saying that if you’re going to be a dick, at least be good at your job.”
your wounds sting through abby like venom. her nostrils flare, and you could’ve sworn those ocean blue eyes flashed with the rage of a thousand tsunamis.
before you could blink, your back made contact with the cool metal behind you. abby’s fingers dig into your hips, her breath fanning your neck. you couldn’t bring yourself to look her in the eye. not when you were eye level with the muscles running across her bicep.
“you wanna keep talkin’, ma?”
the world around you is so blurry, you could hardly hear abby growling into your ear. you watched, mesmerized at the way her body moved. you felt like your life was stuck in slow motion. you could see every individual muscle flex in abby’s arm as she moved. your mouth suddenly felt dry, a warmth spreading across your cheeks.
abby’s chest tightened for a moment at your lack of response.
why’s she so quiet? did i kill her? did i scare her off? did she have a heart attack standing up? am i going to have to call the cops? how the fuck am i going to explain this to the cops?
in a panic, her eyes quickly flit down to look at any signs of distress. abby scans your face before following your gaze. a wicked grin slowly spreads through her lips.
her calloused finger hooks under your chin, lifting you gaze. “no? you done talking?” abby hungrily licks her lips, pushing her knee between your thighs.
you’ll admit, you’re not exactly in your right mind presently. there’s something barking between your legs and she’s telling you to take your clothes off. but there’s a force even stronger than that, tugging you back to reality. the sheer willpower of refusing to let abby win. you shake your head, glaring up at her. “you fucking ruined my night.”
abby pushes her knee further your thighs. the seam of your jeans shifts in response, tickling the throbbing pulse of your heat. a soft gasp of surprise escapes your lips, your knees wobbling beneath you.
abby’s hands grip your hips, holding you securely in place. your eyes flutter slightly as you lean forward, holding on to her forearms in a daze. “what else?”
abby guides your hips forward, dragging your clothed cunt against her thigh. your brain melts into a puddle. a soft moan lifts from your chest, the friction on your aching core scratching just above the surface.
your eyes flutter shut, using every last speck of self respect left in you to stay in this perverted game. “you make me so fucking angry.”
abby hums softly in response, her head dipping down to your neck. her lips gently brush against the soft flesh, your scent travelling through her nostrils. her greedy fingers travel under your hips, cupping the flesh of your ass.
your breath hitches in your chest, the new sensation spreading warmth through your chest. through the hazy fog, you could see a small, but clear opening. and you were hellbent on diving in.
you grind your hips slowly, up and down abby’s thigh, chasing the friction from your jeans. abby growls in response, her lips pressing firmly down your skin.
“can’t even handle five minutes of work…” your breath sends chills down abby’s spine. “making me do it for you.”
abby huffs in response, sinking her teeth into the side of your neck. “can’t help myself.” she murmurs, her tongue running along the smooth bumps on your skin. “been dying to touch you. you drive me crazy.”
you let out a sharp whine feeling at the assault on your neck. your hips stop their movements, earning a smirk from abby. she pushes your hips forwards and backwards as her eyes drink you in. “you’re right—i ruined your night. let me apologize.”
abby’s greedy fingers free the button of your jeans loose, tugging your zipper down. grasping at the denim on your thighs, she tugs the fabric down your legs. her rough, calloused skin drags down your thighs as she sinks to her knees. lifting her head, abby’s eyes go wide in desperation. her tongue darts out to lick her lips, gently tapping on your legs. wrapping one hand around each knee, abby guides your legs to stand on either side of her head. eyeing the puddle soaking your panties, abby lunged for the kill.
she pressed her face against your clothes cunt, her nose brushing up against your thigh. you let out a soft gasp in response, grasping on to the back of her head to control your balance. abby inhales deeply, slowly opening her mouth as she prepared her attack. she slowly drags her tongue against the dampened fabric, trapping the cotton into her lips. a soft moan escapes your lips as abby tries to suck in as much fabric as her greedy lips can salvage. her eyes flutter shut as she drinks in the taste of her divine angel. a soft tug of her hair drags abby’s nose upward, bumping against your aching clit.
you let out a frustrated whine in response, causing abby’s attention to peak. she slowly releases the fabric from her mouth, moving your panties to the side. her soft breath tickles against your throbbing core as a sudden chill passes down your spine. abby’s thumb pushes your folds apart, licking her lips. “i’m here, princess… i’m here…” she murmurs, before wrapping her lips around your cunt.
your head falls back as abby’s tongue laps at your entrance. you can’t even tell if you’re moaning over the sound of abby slurping up your essence. your grip on her braid tightens, your teeth digging into the bottom of your lip. abby hums softly, the vibration shuddering through your body. you can feel yourself growing weaker, succumbing to abby’s control.
abby’s lips drag up your cunt, saliva among other fluids dragging across her face. like a leech, she latches on to your clit, gently sucking on the precious mound. a loud moan echoes off the walls, your breath blowing a small cloud around you. abby’s lips release the bud with a small pop, pushing her thick digits into her mouth. just as quickly as they left, she’d pushed her freshly lubed digits into your velvet center, curling them up curiously.
your mind was entirely blank. you felt as if you were falling forward over and over again as abby’s fingers slowly pumped in and out of you. a small array of moans hiccuped from your chest with each movement abby made. you could feel yourself inching closer and closer to ecstasy, your eyes rolling back in your head.
abby smirked, drinking in the sigh of you. her fingers pushed deeper and deeper, in and out, in and out, over, and over, and closer, and closer—
your hips shudder as you stumble forward slightly. the familiar feeling of a tidal wave loomed over you like a shadow. gripping on to abby’s shoulders, your breathing becomes heavier. abby takes note of the shift and uses every last bit of her energy to push harder into you, scratching deeper into your canals.
unable to control yourself any longer, you let out a quiet shriek, the invisible thread snapping. you fall forward against abby’s shoulder, panting softly as she untangles herself from you. pulling your jeans back up your legs, abby slowly stands up above you.
“feeling better?”
you let out a soft breath, panting up at her softly. “…yeah. yeah—definitely.”
abby smiles, a soft huff of laughter curling down at you. “do you think you can handle making it out of here?”
you roll your eyes, standing up straight. you step past her, purposely checking your shoulder against hers. “watch.”
you push yourself out of the walk-in, smoothing your ponytail as you silently make your way back to the computer. paige was leaning nearby, her eyes glued on you as you approached.
“why’re you looking at me like that?”
“i’m not looking at you like anything.”
“bullshit.”
“no, it’s not!”
“paige.”
“what?”
“just tell me.”
paige lets out a reluctant sigh. “babe…that walk-in is not soundproof.”

abby’s greedy fingers free the button of your jeans loose, tugging your zipper down. grasping at the denim on your thighs, she tugs the fabric down your legs. her rough, calloused skin drags down your thighs as she sinks to her knees. lifting her head, abby’s eyes go wide in desperation. her tongue darts out to lick her lips, gently tapping on your legs. wrapping one hand around each knee, abby guides your legs to stand on either side of her head. eyeing the puddle soaking your panties, abby lunged for the kill.
she pressed her face against your clothes cunt, her nose brushing up against your thigh. you let out a soft gasp in response, grasping on to the back of her head to control your balance. abby inhales deeply, slowly opening her mouth as she prepared her attack. she slowly drags her tongue against the dampened fabric, trapping the cotton into her lips. a soft moan escapes your lips as abby tries to suck in as much fabric as her greedy lips can salvage. her eyes flutter shut as she drinks in the taste of her divine angel. a soft tug of her hair drags abby’s nose upward, bumping against your aching clit.
you let out a frustrated whine in response, causing abby’s attention to peak. she slowly releases the fabric from her mouth, moving your panties to the side. her soft breath tickles against your throbbing core as a sudden chill passes down your spine. abby’s thumb pushes your folds apart, licking her lips.
