february first i escaped my home and made my way to the boba place. there’s nothing more relaxing than getting to enjoy a taro almond blended boba while i study & work. this picture is featuring my new lihitlab pencil case. ❤
Someone else made a well response on posts like this, but I don’t remember the link for it.
Most of these words don’t work well with “looks/seems like...” whatsoever.
To parrot something means to repeat it mechanically. Looking like something or seeming like something is not the same as blatant replication.
To parody something is to represent something—in particular an artist, writer, or genre—in an exaggerated fashion and predominantly for comedic effect. This is also not the same as looking like or seeming like something.
To mock something is to tease or laugh at something in a scornful way. Again, not the same as looking like or seeming like something.
I could literally spend hours writing out the definition to these words and how most of them have no relation to “looks/seems like...” Are you just going through an online thesaurus and picking out words that look nice and are considered synonyms? Because synonyms don’t mean that words are the same and are perfect replacements, it simply means they have similarities and are related in some way.
Please stop making posts like this if you’re not going to actively look into things and make sure they actually relate.
Hi guys! So I decided to create a study challenge for the month of February.
This is basically a challenge in which you would post a picture each day, according to the theme of that day, and I think it’s a great way to connect with other people in the community, to get to know people and to share/learn helpful tips. This will be happening both on Tumblr and on Instagram, so you can do whichever you prefer, or both of them.
If you’re interested in participating, be sure to tag your pictures with #studychallengefeb17 so everyone can find them!
Hope you guys like this little challenge, I had a lot of fun writing the prompts for each day 💕
EDIT: I replaced the image because there was a spelling mistake. It’s most recent PURCHASE and not PURPOSE

( continuation of this mockup. )
not sure if i’m the happiest with this, but i did it and i guess there are good aspects to it. meeeeh.
i’m gonna go finish an essay and then continue working on this to see where it goes.
january twenty-sixth.
as mentioned in this post, i ended up finishing the mockup in about a day. after saving these caps, i ended up going back and making a couple small changes that weren’t worth the effort of doing a retake. i feel a wee bit better, but still kind of meeeh.
i’m kind of happy with how this came out. next time i want to try something that i’ve wanted to do for a while, but i need to figure it out first pbefore i try to implement it.
january twenty-fifth.
i’ve been feeling really crap lately, so i decided that i just needed to code my emotions away.
i’m currently working on a new layout for my main blog, but i wanted to freehand something. so here’s a layout i’m working on for this tumblr. no idea where it’s going, but i’m liking the colours i have planned to use.
let’s see how this goes.
january twenty-fifth.
here’s my current wip. i needed a new layout because i’m getting tired of the old one and needed something to help with my current awful state of mental health. i’ve gotten a bit further than this since i took this cap, so i may be finishing the mockup at some point today, but i still wanted to have a progression image to look back to.
also, here is what my layers & swatches section looked like at this point: boop, it’s a link.
(i’m using photoshop cs6, by the by.)
→ what’s in my pencase? [2017] insp. @shellstudies & @academiix [1, 2] — i’ve currently been keeping a mint/periwinkle theme for my notes. i swap items alot but this is what you’ll find in it most days! ♪
