obsessed with the details in phantom siita's newest music video for "the little mermaid's song". like in the short character intro montages, mona's character is the only one who's looking at the girl in center frame with a menacing face, and then she's the only girl whose sprite ends up almost covering the other girls in the background while also putting her face in the center of the frame, instead of off to the side.

fast forward to after she's started killing her rivals in love, you can see her smiling in the background when Miu's character shows up, the girl she first and actively murdered.

and the of course the really cool way they depict the gore with crafts and beads, as if Mona's mind is just that detached from reality to fit with the visual novel bits and fairy tale theme.

but then once all her friends are dead and reality sinks in, it's now become real blood

like this is the standard for their mv's but i really liked these ones. loved seeing them steer back into more straight-up horror after their more fantastical/eerie recent releases.
