also. this is not on wes’s about page because im about to go to sleep but maureen isnt dead, she faked her death and is still alive and well in vietnam with her gf. wes absolutely believes she died and everyone back home does too but years down the line there are conspiracy theories that she survived or faked it

#i dont think she was threatened enough for faking her death to be like. a legitimate tactic but mo and wes are both EXTREMELY dramatic #so like. can we fault them? yes. can we blame them? no #out.#tbd.

wes wants to be that tolkien quote about how he despises allegory and hates anyone who uses it like he WANTS to be the person saying “whatever you think this is about, it’s not my personal life” but he actually is the opposite of that because everything hes ever written is about either himself or someone he knows
