we are SHOCKINGLY similar to horses when you start looking closer. long hair on our heads. equines and humans rank #1 and #2 ON EARTH in terms of our abilities to sweat. both horses and humans have crazy long legs and small feet in order to move better. we're basically horsemonkeys

they're fine, don't worry. they're a deity of human survival. they are the joy of the hunt and the feast, they are the wonder of art and human connection, they are the stories on the wall. and they love humankind.

I imagine they can be as small as a horse or as big as a blue whale. they're impossibly graceful. spotting them in the far distance means your hunt will be easy and successful. they are as solid as rock but their fur is soft and warm like a boulder in the sun. only a few humans have ever met them face to face, and those who have are allowed to add their hand print to their tail.

it’s GRIPE AND COMPLAIN DAY. here are my biggest pet peeves. tell me yours. let’s be grumpy forever

1. people assuming the worst of me or others based on vague information (how dare you say we piss on the poor!!!)

2. people telling me to do things that are common sense and that I have been doing forever (wear shoes outside because the ground can hurt your feet!!! etc. I have been alive for decades. I appreciate the thought though )

3. people who have good opinions but exercise ridiculous levels of unkindness when explaining things to others who asked politely about it

4. people who are overfamiliar to strangers in a way that is rude or disturbing instead of funny. if you wouldn’t say it to a stranger at a bus stop don’t say it to me!!!!

5. people who are loud and smug about despising babies or children or animals or the elderly. I don’t trust you I’m sorry

6. people who assume I am from the USA before proceeding to decide I am nasty/stupid/etc for saying or doing anything that wouldn’t make sense for a resident of the US

6. people who are going to skim read this post before assuming the worst of me. hi you. please don’t do this. thank you

one genre of fanfiction that seems to have mostly disappeared since i became an adult is shenanigans-type fics. like not exactly crack but just "the gang goes to 7-11" type, extremely low-stakes plot stories. the beach episodes of fanfiction. i just feel like i don't see those around so much anymore. whered they go. i miss them :(
