BYLER VARIATIONS GUIDE

This ship has many different names, and they all refer to different things. It can be hard for people to learn more about them because of just how many there are, so this guide is meant to act as a source for all current and future Will/Mike terms! I will be adding to this post each time I find a new one. If you notice one missing, check the reblogs first as I may have already added it. If I haven't, shoot me an ask!

Byler: Run-of-the-mill Will/Mike. This acts as both an umbrella term and also the name for stereotypical Will/Mike content.

Miwi: Specifically refers to Will/Mike as kids. This includes pre-canon content, though also typically features S1-2 Will/Mike as well.

Lesbyler: This refers to genderbent Will/Mike, either by changing their canonical sexes or by headcanoning them as transfeminine.

Cleradin: Refers to the shipping of Cleric!Will and Paladin!Mike.

Wiseheart: From what I understand, this is an alternate name for Cleradin. I've also seen it used as a general alternate name for Byler itself.

Bravebyers: Refers to shipping real world Will with Mike's D&D character, usually in plots where Paladin!Mike is brought to life independently from Mike Wheeler.

Wisewheeler: Refers to shipping real world Mike with Will's D&D character. The same as Bravebyers, but in reverse.

Zombiefrog: Specifically refers to S2/school Byler.

Sharknilla: Specifically refers to a socmed AU created by inhunnedd on Twitter. Info on this AU can be found here.

Willmike: Typically refers to platonic Byler.

Zombievamp: Refers to shipping Zombie!Will with Vampire!Mike, either in D&D-verse or not.

Also from here on out, I wont be adding anymore Les- or Het- variations of Byler variants. Just assume that you can add Les- or Het- to any of these in order to modify it as such.

Merbrave: Refers to shipping Merman!Will and Human!Mike.

Bravesiren: Refers to shipping Siren!Will and Human!Mike. A variant of Merbrave.

Ghostwheeler: Refers to shipping Ghost!Will and Human!Mike.

Ghostwise: Refers to shipping Human!Will and Ghost!Mike.

Ghostbyler: Refers to shipping Ghost!Byler, where Will died in the upside down and Mike died jumping off the cliff at the quarry.

Gothbrave: Refers to shipping Goth!Will and Normie!Mike.

Hellcali: Refers to shipping Cali!Will and Hellfire!Mike.

Surferscoops/Surfahoy: Refers to shipping Surfer Boy Pizza employee Will and Scoops Ahoy employee Mike.
