We made some animations for yet another music video, this time by the talented Sisters of Invention. :)

It’s been a year since the completion of our graduation short film, Ozone Fever.
To mark the occasion I put together this stargazing scene, featuring a piece of music that unfortunately didn’t make it into the final version of the film – composed, as always, by The Plague Bird.

Rockin’.
Here’s a little something we’ve been up to - We made some animations for this music video by Swedish artist Håkan Hellström.
Joel animated this music video for the band VVhales.
We’ll have some other pretty exciting stuff to share with you soon.
Ozone Fever – Making of a scene, from line art to final grading.
Made this animated short as part of a campaign to promote the upcoming film The Last Witch Hunter.
Narrated by Michael Caine (!).

Well, it’s later than I had originally planned, but here it is at last – the trailer for Ozone Fever. Woo. If possible, do watch it in HD and full screen. Turn off the lights. Invite some friends to join you. Laugh. Cry. Remember those days of your past, gone forever, and think of those yet to come. And so on.
So now our first two films are officially completed, but the journey of Studio Urdjur is hopefully far from over. Stay tuned.
And that’s a wrap. Final rendering is underway.
Philosophy is written in that great book which ever lies before our eyes — I mean the universe — but we cannot understand it if we do not first learn the language and grasp the symbols, in which it is written.

Watercolour backgrounds in progress.
Hey. You there. Guess what?
As of today, we are officially done animating our films. Which doesn’t mean we’re quite finished yet. There’s still lots of colouring, compositing and other such eldritch tasks ahead.
One month to go.
So. Six weeks left until our deadline and first premiere (!). Things are going well – we’re almost done animating both our films and have begun compositing some scenes.
When we first started this blog, we were hoping on updating it more frequently than has actually been the case. But... animation takes time (big surprise?). There are long stretches where you’re seemingly standing still. At times it can be quite overwhelming and agonizing. At other times it’s simply a joy. And – one hopes – the final result will have been worth it.
Almost there now. We’ll hollow out this stone, one drop of water at a time.
Intermission.
