shadow manipulation — this power grants the user the ability to work with shadows in any way possible. this can be creating things like shadow creatures that will command your bidding, though cannot exceed the consciousness of an animal. it also be walking through shadows and walking along a different stream of dimension. it grants the user the ability to see in the dark as well. it also can mean teleportation through shadows, in a similar sense to kurt wagners teleportation ability.
gravity manipulation — self explanatory; allowing them to manipulate and make gravitons, as well as alter the gravity of anything they touch.
intelligence — another self explanatory one. this mutation upped his intelligence to something much higher than the average human intelligence.
travis hawthorne was born into a rocky world, being a mutant child born to two human parents. his parents had a lot of issues and his home life was complicated. he had always had an interest in science and the biological life around him. this was also helped by the fact he was a child prodigy due to his mutations.
all of this cumulated when studied for sciences since he was around 15. he had a special interest in it. he completed high-school on and celebrated path and ended up at MIT. he got his degrees when he was 21-24, three, actually, in biology, physics and archeology, with a minor in geology.
he was then recruited for a project by Valentina a few years later at 23. It was scientific research. but then when his x-gene was activated on one of her jobs, she used this as leverage over him and had him start working as a cleanup for her dirty work, such as silencing others, cleaning up areas and becoming somewhat of a hitman.
he did this for a few years, before she had him do this work for the sentry project. he didn’t know it at the time until he ended up getting a job to go after another person. It was john walker, a man who was apparently the old captain america. he went after him reluctantly before the whole thunderbolts events happened.
he wrote an academic paper for his thesis on the effect of the blip on ecosystems in america. he has continued this study throughout his career, even now.
he is apart of a book club with zemo and bob, they meet up in the towers living room every tuesday. they’re the three people who don’t go out on missions as much, so it’s only natural.
he and steve’s girlfriend (and his best friend) get brunch every saturday to talk about whatever.
