The Bear
Carmy will “get” the lamb dish after he and Sydney finally get together because the lamb is representation of his feelings for her and the inner turmoil that come with denying it. In this essay I will…
BIG SMILE?.... okay
The Bear-Sydney Adamu
I don't know how they did this or of it was some sort of genius acting choice or a trick of the light but his eyes look. Dead. Demonic. Flat. Empty. I'd call a priest.
How I feel reading smut while being scared of intimacy in real life
"came back wrong" but it's from a nap
CS and showrunners of The Bear, I will never forgive you for backgrounding Tina Marrero in favor of some white people’s (who don’t even work in the restaurant and didn’t exist in s1) melodrama
ROC NATION YOU WILL CRUMBLE!!!!
I agree with everything you said, and they have S5 to redeem this, and no one episode or a couple of throwaway scenes isn't enough!!
IM PISSING OMGGG

Hc that after the first time they hook up, Carmy is ABSOLUTELY daydreaming about his life with Syd: marriage, kids, cookbooks and cooking shows because he doesn't do anything halfway when it comes to her, while Syd thinks he only wanted to scratch an itch
He can’t get enough of her after that she’s his new addiction their with each other every night he’s OBSESSED she’s never leaving the bed. By the end of the week he wonders if it’s too early to tell her he loves her.
Oh he would agonize about how and when to tell her so much that he says nothing at all and gives her Carmy style mumbled incoherent half answers when she tries to have a serious conversation about them™️. Syd thinks it means nothing to him because she’s just as down bad. Thus begins weeks of making everyone they know extremely uncomfortable.
I HATE THEM!!!! Carmy is waxing poetic about Syd to anyone who listen except her
BUT ACTUALLY!! He’s giving her attention and intention, telling her everything he can’t with words and Syd just thinks she’s another warm body.
There is a certain comedy gold in Sydney thinking that Carmy is good at sex because he has done a lot of it with a lot of people (she is the og fangirl after all) and not because this man is down bad IN LOVE and can't make this anything but perfect for her
@adamuschef Literally the only way he’s good at it is BECAUSE of her like you will never convince me he’s ever done much more than just lay there if [redacted] is his only previous experience.
With Syd though?? He loses the war against single freaked out desire he likes to pretend he doesn’t have. He’s studied her for so long in silence, he already knows how he wants to turn her every way but loose.
Just watching her tweeze herbs, he looks like he’s about to bust but looking into her eyes?? His man pride couldn’t handle it lmao.
Of course, Syd can’t read that for a second and thinks she’s filling a void. She runs away every time, gathering her clothes as soon she can.

YES TO ALL THAT! Carmy is VERY FREAKY in the sense that he is literally obsessed with every single thing about Sydney -- he wants her and wants her -- he is also scared that every time is going to be the time she calls it quits so they are going at it FOR HOURS
He has (guiltly) mapped her many times in his mind and is so invested in making it good for her that he spends weeks just thinking about sex with Sydney 24/7. Just like the freak he is.
y’all’s mind
i really love the detail that during 4x4 the entire time syd is at Chantel’s place the oven clock is broken and only flashing 12:00. It’s in such sharp contrast to the emphasis on time running out in the rest of the places syd hangs out/the bear with its countdown clock of doom always looming over her. It’s such a small detail but genuinely one of my favorites.
Aside from him not being there and the insecurities she has about failure, I think Sydney is also scared and really sad about what will happen to their relationship without the food thing and restaurant going on
Something something vampires have no reflection so he can't even try to see his brother's face anymore when he looks into the mirror
