This Blackout post is dedicated to my high school friend…. Alexandra Dean On June 4th 2016, her 23 year life was cut short while attending a pool party in Miami Gardens, Fl. A stray bullet struck Alex she later passed away at the hospital. ALEX WAS NOT THE INTENDED TARGET. But the shooter is still unknown and an investigation is still going on. Alex was intelligent, kind and always smiling. In May 2016 Alex just graduated with her degree in Nursing and was also recently became a member of the AKA sorority. She did not deserve this! She was enjoying herself after working so hard for the degree and life she deserved. It hurts me to know her light was taken from the world and people are on social media posting about “they hope they never find the shooter, snitches get stiches” and other foolishness. Justice needs to be served. Heaven couldn’t wait for baby girl but after the passing of Alex’s grandfather, her mother now has returned from Jamaica to bury her daughter.
