He knew that this situation was going to be...delicate. Funny Valentine knew that while most of Maggieâs relatives had been alright with her going to be with him he expected that at least one of her family members might try to cause some trouble. Oh but he didnât understand - like heâs said before Maggie was in good hands there was no need for Donna to worry about her. Really.Â
His eyes narrowed as he looked in Donnaâs direction - no matter if he was approaching her calmly he could feel his irritation rising. He was worried... He was worried that Donna had information he was trying to keep away from Maggie. She didnât need to know about the corpse parts and he definitely didnât need Donna to be the one to tell her about them either.Â
âNow why would you assume that Iâm hiding anything, Donna? Is there something about me that you know that youâd like to discuss? Iâd like to think that Iâm a reasonable man and if you have any problems with me Iâm sure we could talk about them.â
There were still things about Donna Valentine didnât know, but he was aware that she had some kind of relationship with one of his subordinates- Ringo Roadagain. He had tasked Ringo with getting rid of Donna at first but clearly that didnât seem to work out well.Â
âYou just have to trust that I will take good care of your sweet cousin. I love her very much you know, I just want to protect her. Keep her safe.âÂ

STARTERS TAKEN FROM POEMS IâVE WRITTEN - PART TWO
feel free to change pronouns!
â i think the whole world is within you. â â trauma is insidious. it sticks like a shadow, like mortar; the only thing holding our disparate shards together in the shape of a person. â â what are we, if not the echoes of insults and disappointments, the ghosts of the people our parents used to be? â â what are we if not the space in the skyline where something used to stand? the afterimage of a flashbulb lit in the quiet moment before roaring tragedy? â â i watch you standing in the sunlight laughing, harsh and beautiful, something more than our parents or this nation could ever hope or deserve to behold. â â youâre the one lucky creature in this world of ashes. â â i feel myself decaying with every wasted minute. â â i think if you took my chest and split me open, youâd find soft black rot where my ambition used to be. â â if i cannot be happy, let me be free. if i cannot be free, let me be mad. â â i think of nothing but poems, and all the poems come from you. â â iâd ask to run away with you, but i never learned how to drive. â â iâd apologize for staring at you, but you captivate me as the night sky. â â when i was a child, iâd tilt my head back far enough that the only thing i could see was that stretching firmament, thinking: i might fall into those galaxies. â â you are allowed to be angry at those who hurt youâyou are allowed to feel rage over what was done to youâyou are allowedâ â â we burn, and our blaze tears away the veil of ignorance. â â faith lies as charred or as changed as the city skyline. â â we break out of rubble, claw our way to sunlight, wipe the dust from each otherâs faces with hands sick of fighting and digging. â â we will tear down their walls and build our homes atop the wreckage. â â i marvel at how you might lament a life like this. â â you may whisper to yourself: do i dare disturb the universe? and i will twine my hand in yours and say: you haveâyou doâ â â you are a fool, perhaps. but so are allâmen, women, everyone. â â we measure our pride with watch-chains; measure our hearts with half-torn dancing-slippers worn on walks over rough streets, places they were never made to tread; measure ourselves with love-poems. â â you are the might-have-been story of a boy grown into a man grown into the best mind of his generation. â â you are the best mind of your generation which, coming upon the overwhelming question, turns it over like a diamond and, finding it unanswerable, sets it in a ring upon my finger. â â perhaps it was not worth it, after all. or perhaps it is no great matter. â â if i put my foot to the floor or take the turn just right, the horizon will swallow this ought-to-be-ghost town. â â he prayed at the altar of machinery until the factory god gasped its dying breath. â â i stand in the light of uncountable divinities and by them chart my westward course. â â i was always more than the sacrificial lamb of the american dream. â â in my memories you are gold-filigreed. â â you became god when you breathed your first tale. â â some things are best learned from the passengerâs seat. â â amid the ache of beauty, and amid my wonder-love, i forgot i am a sinner. â â i forgot that we ought to be bound for ruin, i forgot every cruel thing the world has ever flung our way, because the dawn made you holy in your sleep. â â when i am bound for eternity, will you mourn for me? â â i was only worth loving in your darkest hour, is that it? â â i am a siren call, not sustenance: there is no meat left in me to feast on. â â somewhere in me there is a living girl/boy/person, locked in the casket of my heart for safekeeping, buried beneath the silt of our solitude. it has been piled on for so long that i cannot find her/him/them when i try. i cannot even remember laying her/him/them to rest. â â you told me you loved me and looked at me like i was holy. â â you should have known i loved you when i asked you to take a road trip with me. â â i love you, and because i love you i will put aside my relentless terror. â â if i am your moon, do not take the sky from me. if i am your heart, do not take the cavity in which i beat ceaselessly, deaf and blind to all but you. â â do not tear me from your chest while you still live in mine, so close that your breath is my breath and your words are my words. â â who am i that you should love me? â â i did not know with what words i spoke, what language, what voice; i knew only that i loved you, as soft and ever-present as breathing. â â if you opened your mouth, the true name of god would spill from your lips. â
@quirofiliacâ
Yoshikage Kira... you wound him so. Funny Valentine takes out his handkerchief to dry his eyes. This is such a painful sight... he doesnât want to admit that what he just witnessed actually happened. Certainly he could just go to another dimension and replace it, but even still this was the original document, and by a foreigner no less. Oh, the sorrow... but that sorrow soon turned to anger. He has no words; he just needs to leave immediately. He needs to replace this sacred document immediately.Â
The saddest dojyan as he leaves to the next dimension...Â
Come closer, he wants to read something to you. Itâs the Declaration of Independence. A very important document indeed.

ă € ă € She hasnât stopped taking care of his hair, although the conversation was quite interesting. Managing to divide the attention between the father and his complicated hairstyle, even so a subtle smile touched her lips. â I think we all look really cute in the photos, so why not? â Their family was incredible, of course! Emily liked to think that they were an example to other Americans â so they should show themselves and behave accordingly. In the face of Valentineâs small teasing her face lit up a little, the smile reaching her eyes. â Thatâs not true! Well, maybe I was more tired than usual that day, thatâs it. â Her tone was playful, kind of admitting her guilt, since she was sure she already fell asleep while he was telling something, even though it was when she was just a little girl. â All the stories are good, and important too. But I would like to hear something about when I was a baby. â To imagine that her parents had a life before she was born was strange and fun at the same time. How they met, what the marriage was like at firstâŠ
ă € ă € Being a hopeless romantic, it was obvious that she wanted to know all the details. Scarlet was always more willing to talk about them â although Valentine spoiled his daughter as much as possible. Only a few subjects seemed less comfortable to be exposed, and she understood this as something that men did. Novels showed gentlemen doing everything to win a ladyâs heart, but in real life everything was more complicated⊠Leaving this story aside, Emily stopped brushing his hair when she heard a suggestion. â Ah, thatâs not fair! If Maggie helps me, everybody will notice right away! She is much better than me⊠â Maggie was the best cook in the whole world, it was no surprise she worked for the President. Precisely for that reason, her talent would overshadow the girlâs. â Maybe she can just guide me and I do the rest. â She wouldnât take offense for sure. Soon another question arose. â By the way, whereâs mom? â The woman was so energetic, seemed to have something planned, therefore attracting her daughterâs curiosity.
Feeling Emilyâs hands running through his hair only made Valentine begin to feel just a bit sleepy, but he wasnât going to allow himself to close his eyes just yet. He couldnât allow himself to fall asleep now... It had been much too early for that. He chuckled a little at her words, âOf course youâd think that. Youâre such a sweet girl, Emily.â he was smiling a bit. Yes, he was definitely proud of the young lady his daughter was becoming. âIs that so? Well, Iâll just take your word for it.â although his expression remained serious his tone had been a bit playful as he had just been teasing her a little for this. âI suppose hearing about what life was like before you were born or when you were a baby is important for you to know as well.â he nodded, âWell then... Is there something in particular youâd like to hear about? I donât mind telling you a quick story if you promise not to fall asleep.â he teased with a slight chuckle after his remark.Â
Valentine had almost been dozing off again despite having made the remark earlier about Emily dozing off when hearing his stories. He was almost startled a bit when he heard her speak up once more. âWith practice Iâm sure you could become an excellent cook like Maggie as well. You know sheâs had more practice than you, so itâs only natural that sheâs so good at it.â he nodded, still wanting to encourage his daughter to try her best after all! âIâm sure Maggie wouldnât be opposed to the idea. Iâm sure sheâd love to help you practice your cooking Emily.â he reassured, he wasnât entirely sure how his daughter had felt about Maggie but wanted to ease any potential awkwardness between the two. âOh, your mother is...â Valentineâs voice trailed off... Just where was she? âI think your mother is in her room.âÂ
"Remember to always follow your dreams! Unless they interfere with my dreams, of course."

praeteritus-memoriesâ:
âWhy not? Youâre not givinâ me what I want.â A spoiled man through and through. Though Diego was good at being sly and coy thanks to living basically through the London streets for his childhood, a man capable of beating Valentine at a mental game of chess was something that would make things far more difficult.Â
It was like two bulls were butting heads at this moment. Diego was painfully stubborn, he wouldnât give up anything. Even if it ended with him dead on some train tracks, he wasnât giving up this battle of affection and attention from the president. If he can make stuffy politicians in England bend to his will, he can make this silly American do the very same.Â
âThe same goes fâ me, President. Iâm many things but a quitter? Thatâs not the mighty Dio. Iâll get what I want or die tryinâ, love.âÂ
âAnd what are you going to do about that?â Valentine asked, he couldnât resist teasing Diego a bit. They were both stubborn - although usually Valentine was the type to make a first move but in this situation he felt as though it should be Diego. He wondered if Diego would be able to put his pride aside in order to get that kiss he had been claiming to want.
Valentine will wait... In fact he was looking over at Diego almost expectantly. Well, if this was something that Diego wanted than he could come and get it himself. He isnât going to be the one seeming desperate for it. He chuckles softly at Diegoâs words.
âUnfortunately I know that you arenât a quitter either. But, arenât you the one whoâs suffering? I think youâre the one that really wants a kiss badly.âÂ
partum-memoriaeâ:
âThatâsâŠâ Eyes widen in shock, a hand against her mouth. She knew Johnny Joestar wasnât a great person, the papers always told stories about that. Memories come in of when Danny would talk about how disgusting Johnny Joestar was, when the media went in a frenzy over his cocky nature before he lost the use of his legs. Even some tabloids wondering if he even killed his brother to become the famous Joestar jockey, all the while racers like Diego Brando and other races the papers were going wild over.
No, she just couldnât let someone that awful stand by and hurt people! Her brother would never allow such a thing, why should she? Even if it felt scary to confront someone like that. What ifâŠJohnny was dangerous? Though her ideas for the reason behind why a racer would want the presidentâs relativesâ body but she could come up with some reasonable guesses. Perhaps it was to make a statement to hurt the president!Â
âDonât worry, sir. Iâll get that body back for you! Thatâs soâŠdisgusting to do that. What kind of person does that to someoneâs family?â A shudder at the very thought, she couldnât even imagine if that was her family that Johnny Joestar had. âNot just because youâre helping me, but I know if things were reversed, youâd do the same for me. Thatâs just the kind of person you are, sirâŠA good man!â
Valentine was watching Danielleâs reaction carefully - he always spoke with such confidence that he could often convince people to side with him and believe his truth. He supposed that was why he succeeded so well in politics of course. Itâs important to be persuasive but also able to been as trustworthy ; Funny Valentine had learned it was ok to bend the truth a bit for personal gain and the well-being of America of course.Â
He nodded in agreement ... the thought of Johnny Joestar had been enough to make Valentineâs features scrunch up a bit. He could understand why Johnny would want the corpse parts, but at the same time found it incredibly selfish to want to use it for himself when Valentine could use this to help an entire country. What a selfish brat... He didnât need to meet Johnny Joestar to know that was the kind of person he was.Â
âOh, thank you, Danielle. I knew I could rely on you. Absolutely, you know I would always help a fellow American in need, which is why of course Iâll help your family out since youâre so kind with helping me too.â
âtis my favorite president manâŠ..
