Vladimir Guerrero Jr. gave the Blue Jays a lead in Game 3 with the coolest slide into home plate.
In Game 3 of the 2025 World Series, the Blue Jays and Dodgers are going head-to-head. Toronto's great player just handed his side the lead with an amazing slide into home plate. Guerrero hit a single into center off Blake Treinen in the top of the seventh inning, with the score tied 4-4 with two outs. Bo Bichette came up next and hit a 1-2 pitch down the first base line past Freddie Freeman of the L.A. Dodgers. The ball bounced in a strange way and hit the right field wall. Guerrero kept running and tried to score from first base, as Teoscar Hernandez, the right fielder for the Dodgers, caught the ball and threw it. That's when it took place. Guerrero was running home when Hernandez's throw went wide of the plate. Catcher Will Smith reached for it, then dove back in to try to get the Blue Jays' first baseman. Guerrero moved in and slapped the plate with his right hand just before Smith's glove as he pushed at the plate.
