Second half of my recent collabs with @lesbian-aunt! As a thank you for the art for Summer Rain, she offered to write another ficlet, whatever I wanted. I self-indulgently asked for swimming lessons in a glittering cave-pool and oh boy did she grant my wish! The result is the sweet and steamy Under the surface, and after reading it I simply had to illustrate that one, too.

@lesbian-aunt asked for slice-of-life prompts for ficlets, and I gave her "either one or both [Bilbo and Thorin] get caught out in heavy summer rain, (the kind that gets you so drenched in only a few minutes you can squeeze water out of every last layer), but it's so warm they don't mind, not in the way of autumn rain. Setting of your choosing".

She responded with a beautiful little ficlet that I most naturally had to illustrate - you can find it here!

Currently watching: I'm in between shows currently - but the last thing I watched on the box was K-pop Demon hunters with my kids.

Currently reading: Re-reading Queens Thief series in preparation for Hamiathes Gift Exchange (signups end 5th July)

Current Obsession: I've been very happily aboard the Bagginshield train for the past year and a half, with no plans of disembarking soon, as I'm having a lot of fun there.

Currently working on: Finishing up my prompt drawing for this year's Tolkien Reverse Summer Bang event.

Currently wearing: Jeans and a black singlet. Currently the weather right outside is blessedly perfect, neither too warm nor too cold—so for once I've foregone my almost staple thin wool sweater.

Last Google search: The difference between debark and disembark.

Favorite flower: Oh, this will depend on the time of year - coltsfoot in spring, swiftly sharing the spot with liverwort. And alternate-leaves golden saxifrages! However, when spring is starting to think summery thoughts, I will unashamedly bury my face in almost every lilac bush I pass, pleading stay, stay as long as you can to them soo perhaps lilac beats the rest.
