answering the question we've all been asking: "what if God was a self-centered lesbian?"
she may be insufferable but she has a sick signature song!
used to traveling through different realities, so coming to another one isn't too shocking
at least her powers are very limited right now so there's not much to worry about.
Insight was God to many that had long since passed on. Even so, her singing ability was just fine. She didn't have formal training, and only did it to pass the time. Her confidence outperformed her actual ability in this quaint little contest held in an Archimedes Ward bar, but there was no shaking voice or hands involved, easily placing her above several that had already tried.
When she finished her performance of Love Like Lattes (a recent hit on the island), she was instructed to pass off the microphone to the woman also radiating confidence after her.
"Do your best," she said smoothly as she did so, meeting Hyuna's eyes briefly before taking her place among the small audience.
Insight had walked by such strange flowers on her way in to this place — one of her old haunts, when she lived in the area — but she had paid them very little mind.

"—From this teleporter landing, it doesn't seem that much different from the ground, but there are several destinations unlike anywhere else up here."
For this first proper date as themselves, Insight dressed down (or up, by anyone else's metrics) in the blue silk dress given to her by Cecil. A pearl necklace rested upon her bare collarbones rather than a tight necktie. She hadn't made any effort to draw attention to this.
"There is a restaurant with a pleasant starry sky and easy privacy; an observatory to watch what they call true stars here; and a place called the Projectorium... where, if you wish, you could see a bit of the world that created me."
She said it peculiarly, both in wording and in tone.
"But even the novelty of being up here with you is refreshing to me." Her hand, now encased in a white glove, extended in a clear offering to hold hands. "Thank you for accepting the invitation."

❍ Castorice was proud of her writing. It could be heard in her voice and even seen in her body language as she turned the laptop around so that Insight could read what she had written. "Feel free! Lady Serah decided to start attending a baking class to try and bake something for Delilah, but it turns out they were both signed up for the same class! They even ended up as partners! ...Of course, Serah was worried about it. But as it turned out, she was there to learn to bake a cake for Delilah's birthday! A classic misunderstanding!"
"But... right! I'll give you a minute to read. Me rambling on about it probably sucks the enjoyment away." She placed her hands on her lap and stared down, humming quietly to herself.
Castorice's brief self-deprecation didn't reflect Lacrymira's thoughts at all. It was for the best that she stopped speaking, but not because it was boring — rather, her new girlfriend preferred listening to her talk more than simply reading from a screen. "I'll forgive you for the spoilers this time," she teased, then lowered her eyes to read.
She spent a few minutes engaged, sipping at her coffee twice.
"I still appreciate that your writing isn't too technical, and you could get quite technical about baking if you tried. It's like a balm after what I have to read for my coursework..." She could only be grateful to a younger Lacrymira that she hadn't locked in on medical school instead. "You could reorder the sentence after "measuring spoon" for clarity, but otherwise it's another very sweet addition so far," she added with a smile.
malchior's great knowledge of magic, paired with his true nature as a great fire drake of the north, had made him some sort of great evil god in the eyes of the people of nol- rorek was not the first sent to slay him, but the archmage had been the last. those powers, great and terrible, had settled in his bones as he watched the world from his atelier, and perhaps it was only fitting that his neighbor was also a person of great power.

his gaze falls back to the plain mailbox. the only exciting thing is a flyer for some discount books ⎛ already, the library is endless, but how can he resist more? ⎠ . the rest? he's not sure why he's received it. ❝ the sky-strewn isles are beautiful. a fine choice for a place to live. ❞
"Insight, the 8th Seeker," she offered to Malchior, an answer that surely meant as much to him as his did to her — very little. Archmage, wizard; he could use what his world called "magic". She wondered how close it was to Lephon's miracles.
Either way, she refrained from peering into him to find out, less out of respect and more out of disinterest. And a bit of caution, as his eyes reminded her of her own. Lately, she'd found it quite interesting how much people would simply tell her, anyway.
"I agree; I couldn't imagine somewhere better. I was able to mold my home into one like I have outside this dimension, and no one normal lives here. I find myself in better company among the most unusual individuals."
Nevermind what she previously did with them...
"Is your Minas Fenumë a replica of your own?"
While their face immediately lights up at her words, they remain perfectly still- just one perk of many of having hydraulics instead of muscles, of course.
"A BUTTERFLY?"
"GRAB IT GRAB IT GRAB IT"
It's been too long since they've had butter muffins! They've had other baked goods, but they never hit quite like their favorite recipe from back in the Constant!
Nevermind that cooking here actually involves... reasonable recipes, and not just throwing a few somewhat related things in a pot and waiting for magic to turn it into a real dish.
At the encouragement, Insight swept the insect off the smooth metal head with a deft had. She did hold an understanding that her handling was a bit rough, but, also held one that she deserved her chance to observe it.
She cradled it in both gloved hands afterward, her thumbs crossed overhead, preventing an easy escape. It was yellow with bands of blue, and still quite alive.
"Would you happen to know the name of this one?" she asked the robot, inclining her hands toward them, definitely misinterpreting their excitement.

Despite the cheeky comment Camilla knew exactly why Insight had sent the message. But she knew better then to deny such a request on a beautiful day like this, even if her trip to the Sky-Strewn Isles was rather distant...
"Hello there dear~~. It's been a minute since we've been able to just enjoy ourselves like this hasn't it? Without the weight of this entire city trying to crash down upon us."
When Camilla arrived at the double doors at the manor's front, Insight was there to hold one open for her with a flourish. The gesture may have come off as chivalry, but she was simply eager to show the place off as best she could.
"Welcome, Camilla. I appreciate your timely arrival." Insight may have had all the time in the world, but she still valued it.
Beyond her extended hand was a foyer, with a floor of polished stone cut visually into thirds by a vermilion carpet. It stretched to the next door, open and exposing a glimpse of the atrium. Breezy windows and framed paintings lined the foyer's walls, each depicting a location somewhere on Radial Island. Split staircases led to another room above.
"I've discovered that when the island calms down, we have to make our own entertainment. This is merely a replica of my treasured domain, but it should suffice for today."
Insight may have become a god again in her new home, but she still had to check the mail when she returned to the manor in the afternoon.
On this day, once she pulled out unsolicited advertisements and coupons and a glamorous-looking magazine she was intentionally subscribed to, she noticed upon closing the mass-produced mailbox that the separate one near hers was also being checked.
She looked him over from head to toe, her expression (at least) not disinterested, and said, "You must live in the tower beside my manor. I've been curious about the one living there."

❍ The demigod knew that if she was to pursue a romantic relationship with someone, it would have to be someone that was willing to be patient with her. Despite how old she looked, she was hundreds of times older and yet had no experience in such a simple thing as expressing feelings. But Insight knew these secrets, and she also knew that Insight carried burdens of her own. They weren't the same, but they also weren't entirely dissimilar.
Castorice paid some degree of attention to her own reactions, wondering if they were appropriate or not. There was embarrassment to be had and she'd expressed as much, but she worried it might have been strange if it didn't show beyond a blush to her cheeks that could be blamed on the cold.
Something changed when Insight accepted her invitation though. Her lower lip quivered as she reached out to take Insight's hand with her own.
"Your hand is warm... although I knew as much. We did dance at the ball, after all." That had been shortly after her curse had been lifted permanently. She'd been overcome with joy at that time. But then she broke eye contact with Insight to look back at the end of the dock and broke the contact immediately. "Oh, um... Sorry, I almost forgot! One second!" She exclaimed while crouching down before the fuse she'd laid out.
She fished a lighter out of her coat pocket and lit it before springing back up to take Insight's hand again. It wasn't long before a small fireworks display went off from the tubes she'd set up. "See? It's just like when we first met! Although... colder."
Castorice's hand in hers felt like a vow. In this instant — separated from other more powerful, more fraught periods of time in their lives — it was a human hand in another human hand; a meeting of equals. A comfort and a discomfort at once.
The Insight of months before would have found it absurd, but the Insight of now wanted to try it with sincerity. It wouldn't be that simple to impress upon her that she was wanted and cared for as she was; she was suppressing distrust even now.
But, seeing the fireworks set up for her benefit, a clear reminder that their first meeting had left as much of an impression on Castorice's memory as her own... laid those doubts to rest, even if only for this night. The colorful explosions reflected before her blue pupils as she watched, trails of light spreading out energetically through lavender irises.
Insight chuckled softly, intertwining her fingers with the ones returned to her. "You remember that night very well. You were so guarded, but this is enough to believe I carved a place in your thoughts then, just as you did mine."
Castorice had doubted her passionate words, unfamiliar with the ways of one who loved, and loved, and loved all the beauty around her. It was true, however, that her feelings were more like a normal woman's now — again — than they were then.
"Thank you for this lovely show."
❍ Castorice's fingers worked furiously on the keyboard of her laptop. She usually had to be quick to keep notes during her classes, but there was an entirely unrelated reason that she knew how to type as quickly as she did. She took a sip from her latte here and there, but she was writing and waiting. To see if someone would show up.
When she did, the woman's eyes finally flickered from the screen to look at her. "Miss Lacrymira!" There hadn't been much mystery considering they were dating now, but it was still so recent that she wasn't completely used to it just yet.
She ended up smirking at the theory that she had been working on a new theory and quickly turned the laptop so that her girlfriend could look. "Mhm! Do you remember that Magical Lady Delilah fic I was telling you about? The one where Delilah and her archnemesis and eventual lover, Lady Serah, fall in love in a modern AU? I finally finished chapter 3!"
"Chapter three... I can't wait to "beta read" for you, if you'll allow me." Her eyes scanned the screen, picking up words here and there that piqued her curiosity. The terminology surrounding fanfiction was about as new to her as this relationship was.
"What has Lady Serah done to capture her attention this time?" Lacrymira asked then, the charm on her face even more evident. Castorice bloomed beautifully in these moments, prideful of her rich internal world. She'd even gotten Lacrymira to watch the series the two fictional lovers were from, and while she didn't get bitten by the same inspiration bug as her girlfriend, she liked sharing in what inspired her.

Someone had just opened all the windows to usher in spring and felt like entertaining a guest.

"Hold still," she instructed the short robot, a natural authority in her voice.
"A butterfly landed on your head, and I haven't seen this variety before."

Standing beside him in a well-established menswear store, a stranger held a necktie in her gloved hands. Depending on the angle of the light, its subtle floral pattern appeared to be gold or bright yellow.
"Hm. Nice enough, but is "nice" really worth this price tag?" she said skeptically, her eyes briefly flashing in her fellow browser's direction.

alright so I'm having one of the worst half-years I've ever had and being at 130% Stress Level all the time is interfering with everything I enjoy. it's give myself another deadline time: if I haven't replied to something I owe by next Friday, I'm not reasonably getting to it and it's been dropped. I do really appreciate people who have been writing with me during this period! thank you for your interest and patience! + I encourage messages if: I didn't respond to a starter written for me, or you yourself are no longer engaged with a thread I owe on! and I welcome messages for any other reason.
"I'm gathering stories from people around campus. Do you know anything about the recent disappearances? Any information you could give is helpful in the investigation."
"According to my past coworkers, at least one attacker is doing very poorly at trying to add to the disappearances. There have been several students and faculty in ambulances recently that weren't even knocking on death's door. My guess is that we now have copycats causing some chaos of their own."
"So, what are you working on this week?"
Lacrymira had both elbows on the table, one hand propping up her chin and the other resting on the wood. Her body formed a lightning bolt, angled sharply forward above, with her feet crossed at the ankle and tucked under her chair. Beside her was a large black coffee, medium roast, in a cute paper cup.
"Whether it's an additional chapter or a new work, I would be thrilled to hear about it," she expressed, her eyes focused fondly on the woman across from her. There were other people currently in the coffee shop, but she willfully only had eyes for one.

has not been forthcoming about why. she doesn't seem eager to help people
went through an EMT program first and then spent some time working prior to starting the paramedic course
plays first violin in the university symphony orchestra (does anyone want to start a rivalry over 1st chair)
not god but seems to excel at what she bothers to put effort into, which is pretty much just her certificate and the orchestra
interested in the rumors of a killer and paranormal activity :) can patch you up if you've only been mostly got by a killer
