Once again, Karax has spent all his solarite on a new invention. Many elements here are based on existing protoss designs!

The staff is clearly inspired by the solarite reapers (the weapon of the Aiur Zealots), as well as some architectural features of the temples; the claw is also based on old Karax claw-designs. Technology!

I recently got back into SC2 after not touching it for many years and seeing your Protoss art here is such a joy. Makes me wish there were dedicated Protoss novels (besides the Dark Templar trilogy) or something similar.

Is there any LORE behind your Protoss in 40k uniforms? Or is just a cool little crossover?

Hello! Glad to see more members of our SC-lovers-community, haha! I also really love Protoss, their mentality, their appearance, their strength and history. There are several short stories dedicated to protoss, and many of them are good and provide interesting insights into protoss characters (Children of the Void, Ascension), even though they're not particularly long. I also like the book "Queen of Blades," which spends a lot of time on protoss, specifically the development of the friendship between Raynor, Tassadar and Zeratul. It was interesting to reread it recently. A cool little crossover based on commissions for a connoisseur of both universes, haha. Let's consider it a special elite unit! In a special universe.
