I haven’t seen anything being planned but that doesn’t mean that people aren’t planning things anyways.

Beep Boop Text Update thingy

Alrighy guys, I've really only got like...2 things to say here so I'll be quick. 

1st of all, Happy Valentine's Day!~

I hope everyone has a very lovely day filled with happiness and chocolates. 

Aaaaaaand lastly I just wanted to say somefin about Promstuck. 

ALL I'VE HEARD IS THAT IT IS POSSIBLY GOING TO BE HELD IN EARLY AUGUST.

I am not in charge of Promstuck so I only ever hear anything about it if the person in charge tells me. If there are a lot of conflicts in regards to the sort of date I can try to talk to the person running the event but it's up to them. Please feel free to message me with concerns or ideas.

I’ve heard wind that it’s going to take place sometime in early August, but I haven’t heard a date yet.

Do you know of any homestucks in vernal, or how I could find some? I moved here a few months ago and I have yet to meet anyone who even knows what homestuck is. There is 1 hs with like 1200 kids, I'm hoping there is at least 1 who is a homestuck...

Hm…I, personally, don’t know of any Homestucks that live in Vernal but I can certainly ask around! You can also, if you have a facebook, comment on our facebook page and see if anyone responds. :O

I haven’t really noticed anyone talking about any meet ups next year….there will most likely be Promstuck but I haven’t heard anything from the person usually in charge yet so I couldn’t tell you a date. 

I’ll be sure to put up a notice when a date has been announced.

Hey so the staff at banzai are talking about banning us from coming back becausse of all the shit various homestucks pulled. Like the amount of trash left on the lawn. Or the gamzee who carried a horn and honked at everyone. Or THE STREAKS OF GRAY PAINT LEFT IN THE HOTEL ELEVATORS. just...let everyone know that this can't continue. Don't be dicks, guys

Waaaaaay past Banzai but school is dumb and controls my life. 

Yeah, I’ve heard a bit about some of the shit that went down at Banzai and I’m not impressed. If Homestuck cosplay gets banned from the convention there’d be no one to blame but the people who couldn’t behave themselves and be considerate.

NOTICE

If you are staying in a hotel DO NOT GET INTO A POOL WITH YOUR PAINT/MAKEUP ON.  Shower and get it ALL off before getting into ANY pool. We've been asked by the hotel staff at Home2Suites to let people know that but it really should be common sense. If I hear that someone has disregarded the rules there will be consequences.

Alright friends I have a quick message for all of you! I'm sure most of you are aware of the things that I'm going to talk about but I'm going to talk about them anyway for safety's sake.

Banzai is Friday guys!!!!! And though we're all pretty dang excited, there are some rules that we ALL need to keep in mind.

Please DO NOT touch people or their props without their permission! I know you want to show your love for your favorite character but people may or may not have fragile props or accessories on their outfits and it would be horrible for something to break.

SEAL YOUR BEN NYE/PAINT ALL OF IT! I do not want Con staff or Hotel staff getting angry about grey/whatever colored paint that you are using getting all over the place. It's also VERY disrespectful to the staff and to cosplayers that you may rub off on. You can find sealers at Pib's exchange or a Halloween shop that sells face paint OR you can order it online and have it shipped overnight.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT be hostile towards people. I don't care if you hate their character you WILL NOT do something to purposely injure someone or their cosplay. If I hear about anyone doing this I will report them to Con Security and they will be removed from the group. If you feel threatened by someone while you're at the con PLEASE let me know and I will do something about it. In character harassment falls under this category as well. If you're trying to tease or be rude in character and you are making the other person uncomfortable then you need to STOP.

Please, please, PLEASE let's be on our best behavior. Homestuck sorta has a bad wrap amongst the rest of the other fandoms so lets not give them a reason to be snarky and mean. We're all totally awesome people so let's show it, yeah?

I'd also like to say again that if you feel threatened, scared, or generally confused/lost PLEASE come find me, Samm, or Elena (Or talk to Con staff, they're super cool) and we will be happy to help you. I'll be posting pictures of what we'll be wearing the Wednesday night/Thursday morning so everyone will know what we look like~

If your eyebrows are a different colour from your wig it can look a bit off. The solution to this is to colour your eyebrows! Generally dye & bleach isn’t considered safe to use near your eyes and any package will tell you not to use it in that area. There are lots of different methods to colour eyebrows.  First: it’s good to get your eyebrows plucked, waxed, shaped, or whatever you to do clean them up. Colouring methods work better on thinner eyebrows and lighter brows. If you have very dark eyebrows you may have trouble getting the colour to show. Some methods for colouring you eyebrows are:

Covering the eyebrow entirely and re-drawing it

Making fake eyebrows with wig fibers and attaching them

Colouring your eyebrows with acrylic paint or another skin-safe paint. Often this is done over white school glue to make it easier to remove. 

Coloring your eyebrows with a melted eyeliner pencil

Coloring your eyebrows with theatrical makeup or eyeshadow. For darker eyes colours work better over a white base. Sometimes this method is done over clear glue. 

Using a “tinted brow gel” or other product made for changing the colour of your eyebrows.
