I have a theory

So I was just rewatching DWiT for the 15th time and I noticed something. When Logan listed the deadly sins, it cuts to Virgil looking incredibly uncomfortable at the mention of Wrath. It's just for a second, and could be a throw away moment, but I don't think it is.

Look at him: he's clutching his left arm with his other hand, which is a sign of discomfort and nervousness. His jaw is clenched, he's grimacing, and his eyebrows are furrowed. He's not doing great. Which could be explained away to the whole Remus situation (which is certainly a factor), but then concider that the next time Virgil is shown, less than 10 seconds later, when Logan is explaining why Remus has been using so much biblical language, Virgil looks less tense.

Yes, hes still uncomfortable, and is hugging himself like the previous image, but he's not tight lipped any more, theres no visible indent between his eye brows like before.

Which leads me to believe that either the mention of those five deadly sins in particular or the specific mention of wrath is what made him agitated.

So maybe, Wrath is another dark side? Virgil always gets uncomfortable when they are mentioned or show up. Maybe Wrath is who the unknown orange side is, if we are going off the color theory.

Idk, I could be reading way too far into things, but I dont think its impossible. Let me know what you think

What if in the next Sanders Sides video Virgil is the one Deceit replaces? And since they used to be friends, Deceit can play the part very well. And when Virgil goes to appear for the video, he sees Deceit in his place, making jokes with Princey and sharing facts with Logan. And just like that, all the work everyone’s done for him to feel a proper part of Thomas slips away, and Virgil hides back in his room, resolving himself to disappearing for good this time.

Okay okay quick theory:

Yknow when Remus just literally attacked Logan? And Logan kept coming back with little to no signs of pain or even discomfort, and went straight back to helping Thomas and the others? That scene?

Okay and then think back to when Rem hit Roman with the mace, successfully knocking him out. And even after Roman woke up he was rubbing his head as if to be in pain. Or just seemed out of it.

Okay so here’s my theory:

The “pain” Remus causes the other sides are only as strong as their fear for him. Therefore, Logan, keeping his composure the entire vid and knowing what to do, wasn’t frightened. So it didn’t hurt, or even feel real.

While Roman is already afraid of his brother. For good reason too, he’s powerful and everything he’s afraid of turning into. So of course he’d be knocked out from the mace.

And it was obvious Virgil and Patton were terrified of him. Imagine what Might’ve happened if he attacked them like he did Roman or Logan? Pain. So maybe that’s why Logan was so adamant about keeping the focus on him, not only to help Thomas figure this out, but because he didn’t want Patton or Virgil to get hurt too.

Also notice how Logic never had to TOUCH Remus to actually strike “blows” to him? Whereas Remus had to be violent and vicious and scary but ineffective (to Logan), Logan merely had to be his stubborn, cool and collected knowledge-dropping self and it had an actual, lasting impact.

I've noticed something about Virgil

I don't know if it's supposed to be obvious and it's not really a big deal, but I thought it was worth mentioning

Ever since Talyn started doing Virgil's eye makeup (starting at the hogwarts episode because in AApt2 they were in Virgil's room and all had really dark eyeshadow), Virgil's eye makeup has been fairly consistent: really dark directly around the eye, and it fades and smudges as it gets further down his cheeks. These screenshots are from the hogwarts episode, Moving On and Can Lying Be Good

In an earlier Sanders sides, Virgil says that he puts the eyeshadow on himself, which we all accepted at the time because we didn't really have a reason not to. But compare these two pictures from Embarrassing Phases and Dealing With Intrusive Thoughts

It looks a LOT darker in the second one? And it doesn't really fade like it does in the others. At first it can be brushed off, because sure, the eyeshadow isn't gonna be exactly the same in every video, but Talyn has been pretty consistent with the eyeshadow in the past, so they wouldn't just SUDDENLY make it a lot darker. My theory is that Virgil doesn't actually add the eyeshadow himself (because it wouldn't make sense for him to actively keep the eyeshadow if he didn't want to be seen as different) and that it's something that's always there on him. And I think the reason that it's so dark is because he can tell that Remus is present and he's scared.

Think about it. Virgil has never really shown any fear towards Deceit. Anger and hatred, yes, but not fear. But towards the end of Dealing With Intrusive thoughts, he tells Remus "you used to really unsettle me" combined with Virgil's generally shifty demenor and facial expressions throughout the whole video, seem to show that Virgil used to genuinely be afraid of Remus, and thats why his eyeshadow is so dark

I didn't really mean to go on a tangent there, but oh well, it holds up. It was just a thought What do yall think?
