The action was promoted online as the way to enhance skin tone, give skin a beautiful glow and hide all imperfections. The action in fact undid earlier Photoshop body enhancements, leading to the message, “Don’t manipulate our perceptions of beauty”. 25 Things To Do When You're Feeling Down
As many now, as it was reported on this blog, NewYork City implemented a ban on large surgery beverages as a strike in the war on obesity. In the reasons for the decision, it has been reported that the judges considered the extensive number of loopholes in the legislation were contrary to the intended purpose of the law, and thus was both arbitrary and ineffective.
Give that it is no secret that consuming beverages with high caloric content is a contributor to obesity, and chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes, this decision has numerous implications for New Yorkers. What do you guys think? Should this ban, or something like it, be instituted by governments? What about in Canada, where the federal and provincial governments, as well as tax payers, will ultimately be paying the price for the health problems associated with obesity?
