In commemoration of ‘Evangelion 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon a Time’ release, I’m posting the complete set of Evangelion Hanafuda Cards that were printed by Movic, and first sold in February 2012 (currently available to buy at the Online Eva Store). The cards are 2x1in/5x3cm in size and printed in very delicate paper; a single nail scratch can damage an entire illustration, and just handling them… messes them up. The illustrations on each card have rich and gorgeous details -even at such small size- and are beautiful to look at up close. Due to their fragile nature, I chose to scan and edit the cards to preserve them; it was a bit of a laborious process, but worth it to better admire the illustrations themselves–Hope you enjoy, and happy Evangelion 3.0+1.0 release!!
