I think I’ve said this before but the telephone game of public memory definitely eventually reassigns the Skip kiss to Hollanov. Two incidents involving gay hockey players publicly coming out/being outed only a few years apart…Shane is the most famous one…yeah it all gets mashed together and most people have a false memory of Shane Hollander kissing Ilya Rozanov on the ice after winning his third cup

And then puck knowers who still have this fake memory are like “wait that doesn’t make sense…they weren’t playing together yet and Rozanov would never have been playing against Hollander for the cup, he’s always been in the Eastern conference?”

And someone else goes “no I know Rozanov was in the stands for that game, remember, Hollander called him down” “oooh yeah right I remember that”

And they construct this completely false in every direction story and somewhere Scott Hunter is crying into his cereal
