Canadian rapper Shad K held a competition to design a t-shirt that'll be sold on his next tour, coinciding with the release of his new album Flying Colours. I was one of 3 winners! Hurrah! The t-shirt will be sold on tour (just for the ladies mind you) and I'll receive a signed copy of the album. YESH!
Yasiin Bey! Formerly Mos Def (www.society6.com/uzair)
DOOM! Iconic mask worn by enigmatic rapper DOOM aka Viktor Vaughn aka known by many other names. Available to purchase at www.society6.com/uzair
Shad is a superb Canadian rapper straight out of..ermm..Canada. His new album Flying Colours is set to be released later on this year. It's probably going to be quite brilliant. I created this album cover design just for the fun of it. Yee Haw!
It's a blue canary! Available to purchase as a t-shirt design, phone cover, art print etc at my society6 page www.society6.com/uzair
'Multiculturalism isn't Working' for the Interact Exhibition 'Multiculturalism is Dead'
Is multiculturalism really an issue if we simply get along regardless of our differences? These two don't seem to be having a problem with it.
University project. Recreating the motivational poster.
'Leap of Faith' - Jumping into that unknown space without hesitation
Design for potential Jawaab flyer
Working with Jawaab to create a series of posters focusing on themes and issues affecting both British Pakistanis and native Pakistanis. Rough concept for 'Terrorism'. Series of 6 posters to be launched on Facebook soon.
Entry for a climate change poster competition
Second poster design submitted for the 'Poster for Tomorrow' competition exploring the themes of gender equality. I wanted to use a stereotypical sexist statement for the poster and cross out the words to show how ridiculous it is. I did the same for other phrases too, imagining someone had actually said it about themselves.
University project looking into illustrating a comedian's quotes. This one was by Demetri Martin:
"I wanna make a jigsaw puzzle that's 40,000 pieces. And when you finish it, it says 'go outside.'"
Work-in-progress: Posters for Jawaab, aiming to promote a dialogue between British Pakistanis and native Pakistani youth on topics affecting them, including forced marriages and youth identity
