here’s my theory: people hate peter quill because he’s so human it’s frustrating. he is orpheus turning back to see eurydice. to love someone is to turn around, to love someone is to lose your cool! we hate peter quill because it’s what we all would do. even if we know it’s wrong or illogical. it’s intrinsic, it’s human.

it’s a bit of a character study of remus and how i think he would handle his grief after the first war. oh yeah and he has to raise the newly-made war hero. so it should be a ride!

i also don’t have the capacity (perfectionist) and or skill (uncreative) to write like tens of thousands of words so it will probably be short!

me being vulnerable for a second: here’s my soul. do you like it?

i measure whether or not i’m hyper fixated on something by if i read fanfic on it

ex:

- good omens: fav show ever love it to death, not hyperfixed on it, never got into the fic, maybe i will tho

- marvel: don’t love the direction rn but yes it was a hyperfix, those peter parker field trip fics had me in a death grip

- harry potter: yes. still read fic on this even tho i’m not super fixed on it rn, the fic is just too damn good

- top gun: my pride and joy and current hyperfix, i think i’ve read the first like 15 pages of my ships tag, i love it

- sherlock: one of my fav shows ever, never read any fic on it, anything always felt out of character (same goes for gomens)

tldr: shows with nuanced and developed characters are where i don’t fixate and read fic. but underdeveloped, ‘anything fucking goes for this guy’ character shows are the breeding ground for a hyperfix
